The Alpha's Only Weakness
I felt Lucien walk up behind me, but he still gave me space, enjoying the view next to me as the moon shone down on him, too.
"You're beautiful," Lucien whispered, and I felt my cheeks burn hot as I lowered my arms, embarrassed that he had seen me doing that.
It was something my mother taught me to do when I was little, after a hard day. She called it 'moonflowering'. We would stretch big and tall, and let the moon wash all the bad away.
I shook the thought from my head, not wanting to think about how I was failing them, not tonight.
