This life again
I tell Death, and I get up, running away from there.
My eyes flash open. It's still dark, and Quill sleeps soundly with what looks like plugs in his ears. I try not to jostle the bed too much as I go to the restroom, and I wash my face, scrubbing my teeth, and then brushing my hair into a neat little bun. The bandages are all but ready to come undone, and I peel it off from my skin, wincing at the sting.
My shoulder and arm are healed nicely, the scarring pink. I feel a bit self-conscious when I look at it, but I slip on the tunic, and the long trousers, tying up some boots.
