I knew that if I thought about this more deeply, I would figure something out, but before then, I needed to save myself from going crazy with rage and frustration. This was just something I had to do even if it was for a day. “Really?” Camille asked. “Yes,” I answered. “So, please, I need a job,” I repeated. “You just said that you go to work, so can you help me get a position where you work?” I asked. “Well, I can help,” Camille said. I was thrilled instantly. “You can?” I asked with excitement.

Also no. Two weeks pass and before I know it I am still jobless and homeless. I sit my ass down at the local library computer and start to searching. I find a website that seems legit. I look up all the jobs that could start today, finding more than one hundred. Why didn't I look sooner?

Now I'm stuck, and I have to untangle myself from this little affair which I had found myself in. I know I wasn't meant to be lucky. At first, I thought the goddess had finally smiled on me. Little did I know that I was only getting myself into doom. What should I do? I pulled my hair as I was consumed with frustration. Nothing seemed to be working out fine for me anymore. This morning, I woke up in a stranger’s bed, with three hundred thousand dollars and a huge wristwatch. Then I lost my job. And now, I'm sitting alone in an empty apartment, unsure what tomorrow will bring. My eyes water; I blink to hold back tears. I refuse to cry again. I've cried enough. Slowly, I take out my phone and open a job application website. If I want to survive, I need to work — fast. My fingers scroll through job listings. Receptionist. Waitress. Sales associate. Cashier. I still have to worry about the rigors of normal life until I get a job, so i have to get one, and I have to get one in the next two months. I have enough money saved up in my account to get myself a small apartment, but I won't do that if I don't have a job. A job is the most crucial thing for me now.

Imogen I took a deep sigh and continued scrolling through the different job listings on my phone until an advert suddenly caught my attention. A salesperson position at a gas station. Honestly, before getting a better job and completely running out of money, I needed to work anywhere respectable enough that could at least help me survive for the time being, and so without thinking too deeply about it, I clicked into the advert and applied immediately.
