I stared at the ceiling. The child I had wanted to tell Dante about on our first-kiss anniversary was gone. The child I had hidden my hope inside was gone. Dante had not held the scalpel, but he had hidden me in that house, handed me over to his alliance, and made everyone believe my baby could be erased for Serena’s reputation. “I wanted him,” I whispered. “I really wanted him.” Professor Shaw took my hand. “I know.” The legal director placed a folder on the bedside table.

The particular book appears in front of him as HE gladly reads the title out loud. “Death Resurgence.” As the book opens and the series of the current events begin to flash and flood. HE giggles in HIS utmost amusement, as HE presented. “Well, well, well. Shall we learn the ropes of what lies within the Resurgence?” From the book that deliberately flips and presented the gist of the world that it brings, the words are written and said.

Too much fire and not enough air. She sat in her study, lights dim, the rain still tapping against the old glass. Before her lay a blank leather-bound book. She dipped the pen in ink, then paused. She wrote: For my son. “The world you inherit is broken. You are not born to fix it. You are born to survive it. This is not a cradle song. This is a manual of war.” She titled the first page: THE BOOK OF BLOOD She stopped. Closed her eyes. Listened to the wind.

It's not late so we continue our conversation with the rain echoing on the roof of the cabin. "About my situation, I have no memories at all, although I do have some knowledge of the world. Thanks to that I've been able to survive until now in the wilderness. There are things I know, but I don't know how or when I learnt them, on the other hand, there are other words I know but I can't associate them with anything". "Mmm… intriguing" says Hikaru.

With broken bones, I slowly climbed down the van and tried to stand but not being able to due to the pain I was pulled harshly by a chain that was wrapped around my ankle and hand making me stand and walk rather painfully. Wanting to know where I was, I opened my half-hooded eyes and checked my surroundings or where my next destination was. Looking around I was confused for a bit but the moment I realized where I was I understood that my fate had been sealed and my life will never be the same again. And I also knew this was only the beginning of my ill fate and misery.

Then, she added, "We're all in this together. A downpour's coming, so we should find some supplies." She crouched before me and held my left hand. Her face was a mask of understanding. "It's all my fault. I'll help you up." I slapped her hand away in disgust. She let out a gasp and fell backward. Everyone huddled around her and shot me with dark glares. I stood up and put on a sneer. Yes, a downpour was coming. In my previous life, these asshats had only survived those two days by the skin of their teeth. I busted my ass setting up traps in the sea for a catch. The waves roared and crashed like a neverending tide. One time, they nearly swept me into the sea.

Like we’ve done for years. "So what's with you and Aidan?" Jared asks between mouthfuls of chocolate mint ice cream. "What do you mean?" I reply after taking a long licked from my vanilla soft serve. "Well yesterday he came to ask me about your book. And it was weird because it was the 3rd one in the series. He didn't even know it was yours or your name. He just wanted a background check on it so I told him it was yours. He then Alpha commanded me to tell him everything about you. He said it was a clue. What's going on there?"

So far, you have met or 'heard of' (ahem) the major leads, and now book two will be centred on: Daisy, Erden, Kassian, Bryant, the demon, a bit of travelling to different continents with Isaac and more of fierce Vivanna, lol, unfortunately, the bumbling and uncertain Vivanna dies in book one and comes back far more villainous in book two.
