I swallowed them and she stood up from the bed. "Come closer, Tina," I requested, curiosity gleaming in my eyes. "Huh?" she responded, surprised by my sudden request. "Come. Closer. I have something to tell you," I reiterated, stepping closer to her. She approached cautiously, and I stood up to meet her. "What is it?" her voice held a hint of uncertainty. Still observing her expressions, I moved even closer and enveloped her in a warm embrace. It was effortless, considering I was much taller than her.

I murmured. I sighed and calmed down, I went down at the ladder and tried to avoid meeting them, but I was too late, yeah, I was too late because, the moment that my feet touched the floor, they were right in front of me, literally. And it was the vastly horrible day ever. I was speechless when I saw her, I didn't know how will I supposed to approach her, and of course, also her new boyfriend.

Other times she was with friends, laughing and having a good time. I knew that I had to talk to her, but I just couldn't find the right moment. Her expression sharpened just a little at that. Not because she disagreed. Because she recognized the truth in it. I saw it. And that made me brave enough to reach for her. My hand came up slowly, giving her time to stop me if she wanted to. She did not. That was all it took to make something in me ache.
