Just then, Roxie noticed the third guy had snow-like irises—If he wasn't just as appealing to the eyes, he'd emerged as a ghost—he looked too pale just like his eyes. Cold and icy. The mere sight was enough to make her shiver. Was it possible for humans to look like that?

Victoria, who was sitting on the Driver, covered her mouth in fear, and immediately gasped, thinking that the two iron rods were about to smash onto Roderick's body. However, just as the metal rod was about to reach Roderick's body, he dodged to the side, clenched his fist, and quickly snatched one of the lackeys' metal rod. His movements were so quick that he didn't even have time to see it clearly, when he heard a crisp bone cracking sound. Very quickly, a lackey started howling like a pig being butchered. In the next second, Roderick's iron rod smashed into the other lackey's face, causing him to immediately lie down on the ground, as if he had fainted.

Greyson said and pressed the burning hot iron rod into the man's side, covering Rogue's brand. A piercing scream filled the air and Indianna stumbled back in fright. She gripped Ace's arm and winced. The man's scream felt like a thousand knives scraping at her eardrums and she was grateful when it came to an abrupt end. Greyson removed the rod and the screaming stopped immediately. The man's eyes went wide and a strangled gasp left his lips. He was panting, his skin was slick with sweat and Indianna could hear the thumping of his heart.

"Help me!!!!!" But these unidentifiable creatures seemed to be having fun with their new game. Jane's eyes were tightly shut as she kept on screaming but soon silenced after the creature carrying her pierced her from the back with its long sharp finger. The pain stung badly and she lost so much blood instantly before going unconscious. .......

*Leo* The scream cuts through my sleep like a blade. I jolt upright on the floor, my heart pounding, my muscles coiled before I’m even fully awake. For a split second, I don’t know where I am, but then I hear her again. “Roxy!” She’s on the bed, thrashing beneath the blanket, her hands clenched into fists, and her face contorted in pain. Her nightgown is damp with sweat, her hair plastered to her forehead. Her eyes are open but unfocused, wild with terror.

I scream because the scar under my ribs is burning like a brand, pulsing in rhythm with something I can’t see but somehow know is out there in the woods, calling to me. And that might be worse than the bond itself. The sound tears from my throat raw and primal, nothing human about it. It echoes through the old house, rattling windows and making the candle flames dance. Somewhere in the distance, I hear dogs howling in response, their voices joining mine in a chorus that shouldn’t be possible. When the sound finally dies, I’m left gasping, my throat raw and my hands shaking. Elsie watches me with those too-knowing eyes, and for the first time, I see fear in them.

My small, still form, my skin a network of dried, cruel fissures, my body already tinged with grey. Elara let out a sound I'd never heard before---a raw, guttural scream of pure agony. She was the first to move, dropping to her knees beside me. "Isla? Isla, wake up. This isn't funny..." Her hand hovered over my cold arm, afraid to touch. When her fingers finally made contact, she recoiled. She looked up at a swaying Liam, his voice a broken whisper. "Liam... she's cold. She's really gone..."

I was drifting. What is happening? The last thing I remember is that the driver made me smell something from his handkerchief. The movement stopped, and the car is at peace. The door opened, and I saw a guy with a mask and a hoodie. My eyes couldn’t deny that I felt an undeniable attraction towards him, even though I could only see the upper part of his face and his hypnotizing green eyes. "Are you okay?" he asked. I couldn’t open my mouth and just stared at him. His arm went to my waist, and not long after that, I was already in the air.

He gnashed his teeth angrily, connecting with Cortina’s hind leg. “Chloe!” Rodger screamed, running towards us. He looked crazed, purple sparks flying from his hands towards us. The sparks landed on the wolf, but just seemed to anger him more. Rodger was too far away, and I didn’t want him to get any closer to this monstrous wolf.
