If He Had Been With Me Book Summary Novels & Stories

Chapter 26 Hadley “I don’t want to be alone.” The words shocked me, it was the truth, I was scared and being alone right now made the fear in me grow. But then why would I ask him to stay? Was it because Zylith was not here, or is some part of my unconscious mind pulling me to him. He has proved my saviour in the past and again today, but did I maybe want more. Maybe I wanted to explore an aspect of life I had been avoiding.

Then, he continued his stor,y “Then, she was actually reading the first few chapters of the book and it says more about someone who had same experience as you.” When I heard that, it gave me Goosebumps. I was actually asking myself before if there was someone in this world who had the same condition as I do. And now that I was hearing those words from him, it felt like answers were coming on my way. I asked him to continue, and then he said, “That’s all sir.” “That’s all?” I asked in disappointment.

He smirked. Yes, I won’t let him win, I was going to bring him out of his shell one way or the order, now I know he wasn’t a man without emotions, he said he loves me, he was only scared and I was sure it has something to do with his past, I would find out and I would help him as he helps me with my dream.

After a while, I removed my eyes from the book that I was reading and I saw that my Beta's head was bowed, I sighed to myself. "Can this day get any better??" I thought as I touched him and he raised his head up, he saw the curiosity in my eyes as he said

He has changed a lot since the day, I had met him in Freckles. He was different the moment I saw him and somehow he reminded me of David that night. It was a well-planned story which was going to open the incomplete closed chapters of my life. Caden was supposed to meet me, show me the way to where I am right now. And I am grateful for that. But…

I failed to keep count with our last encounter, but the understanding of the fact that it had been quite a very long time, made me understand his shock. "A long story. Can I get water please." He hesitated for a moment, his eyes scanning my entire body as he was still in disbelief. "Things happen to people. I guess it had always been who I am." I lied. I couldn't reveal to him about my ordeal with the book.
