Dante POV
The night was cold and there was no sign of the stars coming out. Going through the deepest part of the forest, is always the fun part of being a wolf hunter and on this fateful night, the crew and myself are on the same mission; to capture more wolves."Bet you wouldn't see these bloody creatures out here today, after their last encounter with us." Steve, one of the crew member indicated as we pulled through the several branches."How about you try and be positive for once Steve." I yelled back as we pulled further into the forest. An object suddenly came into my line of vision and upon closer look, I realized it was some sort of bandana."Heads up guys, I believe we would be having company soon." I picked up the red bandana and walked the straight paths that it had fallen. The sound of a river side perked up my ears and forcing me to moving towards such direction.Upon arrival, a body laid beside the river unmoving. This propelled me to go check up on the person."Is she dead?" Steve asked. While the body looked completely subconscious, I knew she still had life within, giving me the believe that she was still alive."She would be fine....." I said pulling off my gun. "Here hold this for me." I said to Steve, who hesitated before picking the gun."Are you sure Mr. Collins wouldn't complain about this?" While I understood the rules of the werewolf hunter, I was still a human after all and empathy is my greatest trait."We cannot leave her and let her die, someone had to be there with her." From her facial expression, she looked completely in disarray; an indication she had been worried or scared of something.Once we arrived at the huts, I had told Steve to tell Collins that I had brought in the girl and while I knew he would complain, I already planned on speaking to him later. After giving her certain herbs, I sat beside her for a moment, wondering what a young girl would be doing alone in the forest. She didn't appeared to look like a werewolf and for most part of it, she was extremely beautiful."Is she going to live?" Steve had stepped into the hut and sat beside me."I think she would, I mean look at her, a beautiful girl like this shouldn't be exposed to the dangers of the forest." I admitted honestly. However the silence from Steve forced me to look around. "Wait, don't tell me you believe I already have a thing for this girl." I added"First off, you took her to your hut, she is on your personal clothes and above all you allowed her in your bed. I have never seen such utter kindness from you, which leads me to believe that you like her." I rolled my eyes at Steve for thinking too much."I don't know her to begin with, once in a hunter's life, you just have to show empathy." He shrugged and got up to his feet."Once you done, Collins would love to see you." He said and pulled out of the hut. While I ensure the lamp was still burning, my thought went towards Collins and what he would possibly think of such situation.*Collins is the head of all hunters and above all, he was a friend. He believed that in a matter of months, we could be able to take down major wolves in the forest and I stand by his words.Seeing him standing alone, staring into the stars beside a camp fire he already built, with a ciger in his mouth, showed how much he loved to be in his space."I heard you brought in a girl." He said pulling his cigarettes off his mouth."I couldn't leave her out there to suffer by herself." I admitted, coming to seat beside him. He had a jar of water beside him, to which I gulped down."We are hunters Dante and not just any hunters, werewolf hunters. What if she is a trap? What if these dogs think highly of us and they decide to create a distraction from our plan. Remember you cannot say if she is a wolf or not." I refused to believe that she was a wolf. Every nerve in her body proved to be human."I don't think she is a wolf." I aired out my opinion."No one knows Dante, no one knows what these species look like." He threw his ciger into the fire. "I will have you understand that taking that girl in, means she had become your responsibility and even if she isn't a bait, what do you plan on doing with her? Taking her back home? Heck what if she doesn't have a home? What are you going to do." There is no denying the fact that Collins had a point in his statement, but a gut feeling within held me attracted to the girl."She is awake." We both turned around to look at Steve step in to the camp fire. Upon hearing the news, I excused myself and retire back to my hut to see the young one looking around in total confusion."Hello there. How are you feeling?" Once she heard my voice, she got scared and moved further into the walls. Her eyes were fixated on the gun within my reach and it was obvious she had belief I had abducted her."Please don't hurt me." She pleaded."I won't hurt you, I just need to know who are you and how are you feeling." I walked closer to meet up with her, despite her anxiety."What is your name." Her eyes held nothing short of confusion. It was almost as though she was trying to figure out my question out."I can't remember my name." She said in actual shock and realization.Nadia POVMy brain was almost blank; I couldn't figure out what my name is or how I even came about here. However the demeanor of the man standing beside me, showed he wasn't an evil person. "You can't remember your name?" He asked. "Yes. I don't know who I am." I watched him walk up to the lamp and reduce it's brightness. "Please how did I get here? Who are you? What is this place?" Several questions flying around and while I hoped that answers would be given, I began to wonder if I could grasp the things he was going to say." "You were laying unconscious beside a river and I had picked you up, seeing you were much alive." I tried remembering the scene he had just said in my head, but it was totally blank. "Who are you?" He smiled and sat down beside my bed, his eyes not leaving mine. "My name is Dante and I happen to hunt down Werewolves." While the last statement seemed to be familiar, I couldn't get a perfect pictorial excerpt of the statement. "What are Werewolves?" He raise
Dante POVIt is obvious that Collins mind was made up. Seeing Lillith all filled with anxiety had me really becoming worried. The little time we shared last night proved to me what truly is quite unimaginable; an intense attraction for her. "Alright then, we are going to take it gentle with her." Collins said, holding up the Wolf bane in his hands. "Collins, we both know she could get hurt." I said, hoping he would reconsider the decision he has made. "Would you have me reporting to the directors of your inaction against this group? Remember your importance." Deep down, there was an intuitive feeling that made me believe Collins had a genuine hate Lillith. I watched Collins stretch her hands slashed it open with a knife. The scene was uncomfortable to behold and something I felt a way of resisting. While Collins attempted to use the Wolf bane, Lillth resisted, much to the surprise of everyone. "Lilith, I assure you it won't hurt." Collins said. The growl that emitted from her lip
Dante POVWithin every veins of my fibre, anger and rage soared through. The fact that Collins had shot Nadia without no remorse made me loose all sense of logic. "Dante, remember you would be punished if you attempt to assault Collins. Remember thw code rule of the hunting group. Yield yourself peacefully, we don't have to do this with force applied." There was no way I was going bro leave Lillith here. I looked from Collins to Nadia's dead body and in that moment, I knew where my heart lies. "You know what; screw this organization, screw you and every single one that opted to be part of it." I leaned down and picked Nadia up and stared back at them. "I am out of it." From my peripheral vision, I could still see a struggle between Collins and Steve but at this point I didn't care. Walking past several paths in the forest, my intention was to find a means to get back Nadia. It was weird, but I believed she could still be brought back to life. The awareness of other past packs that w
Dante POV I looked up and noticed the man staring down at me in confusion. He rushed over to Lillith's side, who was still unconscious."She has no life." His words fueled my anxiety. Did I do anything wrong? Did I cast the wrong spell? Did he give me the right book? Several questions kept flying through my head. However one main thing reminded constant in my subconscious thoughts; I had possessed strange energy."Listen, we need to do something, I need to help her. It is obvious the Bishap book didn't help." I pleaded to the man, whose name I am yet to discover."I have someone that could perfectly explain the whole situation. I am merely a library keeper, who knows all the books here." Staring at Lillith's lifeless body, I couldn't help but be amazed by her beauty. Even in her subconscious state, she was still very perfect."Lead me to this person you talk about, I beg you." I watched as he rushed over to his counter, pulled up a pen and a paper and scribbled something unto the piec
Nadia POVThe world was quiet for some moment, till my ears began to pick up whispers. I couldn't comprehend what was happening. The whispers increased and after a while, I heard a slight giggle, followed by a groan of frustration.Right before I could open my eyes to comprehend what was happening, a bright light illuminated my face and at that moment, I used my hand as a shield to protect my face. "Happy Birthday!" I smiled, seeing the people that had gathered in my room with several birthday presents. Slowly I got up from the bed as they urged me to snuff out the candle. It was my eighteenth birthday and I had almost forgotten about it. My family were the best and seeing their happy faces light up my day. I cut through the cake and tasted it, feeling it's goodness."So Anabelle, what is your birthday wish?" My beloved sister Rachel asked. She is the life of the house and always had a means to make everyone feel good about themselves."I haven't really thought about anyone." I admit
Dante POVThe world stopped almost the second I laid eyes on the young maiden right before me. There was something about her that pulled me close, but I couldn't lay hands to it. At her left hand, I noticed a dagger and it was apparent she was up to no good. Her pale body, coupled with her long nails gave me the hint that she was a witch."What do you want from me?" I pulled my riffles and aimed it directly at her. She had her hands up in the air, her eyes still holding signs of recognition."What is strange is that I have seen you before and this scene several times." Her statement caught me off guard. I perfectly understood the fact that witches were magical creatures, but I never knew they could speak parables as well."What are you talking about." She was about to explain, when a bright light flashed across the tunnel, almost blinding my vision."Good Job Mr. Taylor, we will take it from here." Adjusting my eyesight to the light, several men had surrounded the tunnel, all with riff
Nadia POVThe entire coven had gathered at the peak of the moon, dancing and singing across the fires of the night. The smile on the face of the queen showed that I would be fully welcomed as one of the witches to the pack. "Tonight, you have shown that you are not only a true witch, but could pose as a warrior as well." The Queen revealed, holding up the head of the witch hunter. "She didn't just bring any head to the coven, she brought to us, the head of a witch hunter. It shows how much bravery she posses and indeed you shall be inducted properly." The next few minutes were spent on rituals and eventually I felt a surge of energy running through my veins, after I had taken a potion given to me by the queen."Welcome to the Coven Anabelle." The rest of the witches all screamed in joy. I could see the smile beaming through my mother's face as she watch the induction go on.Once the ceremony was over, I was left alone heading towards my home, after a hectic day. I dashed to the bedroo
Dante POVI was lost in her eyes, the moment she came out of the woods. I wondered if she was ever stalking me."What are you doing here.. Especially with a dagger in your hands." She dropped her dagger and seemed to be contemplating about something. On a closer look to her demeanor, I noticed she was a little moody; almost in the same manner as someone who was sulking."None of your business." She indicated placing the dagger back into her cloak and attempting to leave."It would have been none of my business initially, but considering I saved your life from the witch hunters, I think I deserve some credits." I revealed with a smile up on my face. She literally rolled her eyes at me, walking casually over to my side with a look of no emotion laced up on her face."Listen to me human, I don't want to have anything to do with your creature and indeed I am truly grateful for your help, which is why I am showing mercy. I had the intention of slitting that throat of yours, the moment I lai
