⸻ Chapter Ten The Eighteenth Moon The first rays of dawn broke over Blackridge Pack. It was Ivy’s birthday. For a long moment, she simply lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. Eighteen. The number didn’t feel real. She had imagined this day for as long as she could remember. Some nights she had dreamed of waking to hear her wolf’s voice. Other nights she had feared waking to nothing at all. Now the day had finally arrived… And the silence inside her was deafening.

Everything was coming along for what was to be my second best day ever, my wedding day. Some say how stressful and overwhelming it can be, but I was hoping to add it to my list of best days ever.
