She looked up at him. He instantly nodded. She nodded, "Yeah. But, it was pretty good though. With Kris, I slowly began to see why people wanted boyfriends. I'd think up crazy ideas and while I'd want to tell my friends, I didn't because I always felt like I be disturbing them with my silliness, but with Kris? It was like I knew I was disturbing but I didn't care." She chuckled. "He was attentive and nice and gave really nice hugs. He felt more like a super bestfriend than a boyfriend, but isn't that what a boyfriend should be though? A bestfriend, a brother when you need him to be, a father when you need him to be and vice versa? Does that make sense?"

As I am about to speak, I hear a voice I recognise behind me. “Aimee, I don’t know you guys covered hospital news now”, Kyle says, and I roll my eyes and turn around looking at him. “Hi Kyle, I’m not here for work”, I say, and he frowns as I turn my attention back to the secretary. “I am his son's girlfriend”, I say, crossing all the fingers and toes that I can, hoping that she will believe my lie. Well, technically it’s not a lie, or is it? What are we? We are not even engaged yet, “I’m a friend of the family”, I say straight after, and she frowns, asking my name again.

t was a weird random relationship and after maybe a month we both kind of just stopped talking. My second boyfriend was more of a boyfriend than the first. It was my freshman year of college and we met at a party on campus. He was also a freshman and definitely leaned more towards the nerdy time. He was working towards becoming a doctor so any time they we hung out it was all he talked about.

Yes, I am your boyfriend and you are my rightful girlfriend here,” he said as he rubbed his hands on my shoulders. I had never bath even with my friends together. Not even with my best friend. But washing ourself together was making both of us so much comfortable with each other.

Tried for them apparently, but it never happened. "I'm turning 31 years old and I have no boyfriend. No fuckboy. No male gay best friend who might also want children but doesn't have a partner. I lied that Grandpa has been breathing down my neck for months, pressuring me to find a suitable guy from a good family, and I just needed the noise to stop.
