I couldn't see a thing, and it didn't seem like the room had a window. I groped around in the darkness for some sort of light switch, and eventually, I found one. The large room had tall windows that looked out at the ocean, which was now hidden by heavy rain. Lightning struck, lighting up the room for a moment before throwing it back into darkness. I peeled off the wet dress, hanging it in the bathroom to dry. After a quick shower to wash away the chill, I slipped into the silk robe provided by the villa staff.
