Dark and Untamed

Dark and Untamed

The short creaking of wood seemed unnaturally loud to her ears. The corridor beyond stretched endlessly beneath lofty vaulted ceilings supported by massive stone columns. Usually, light spilled through the tall stained-glass windows, painting the polished floor in brilliant colors. But strangely all curtains were drawn shut. The heavy crimson drapes concealed every window. Even the wall torches had no fire in them, making the entire castle dark and estranged. Estelle hugged her nightgown a little tighter as she walked. Even the echo of her footsteps unsettled her in the vast castle. She felt watched. Like every single inanimate object had grown a pair of eyes to observe her every move.

There are many trees around, and there is a hall where the dear king and the dear prince will sit. “Let us all be righteous. Arrange your equipment. Soon, the dear king will come with the dear prince and his Lady Lukom to begin the croaking!” shouts of the chief of the troops. They nodded and immediately lined up. Finally, they arrived— first, is the arrival of the dear king. Second is the arrival of the dear prince, and third is the woman with the face covered with a black cloth. His eyes narrowed because it seemed familiar to her — gait, hair, and even the stature were all familiar to him.

When the Wards Broke

When the Wards Broke

Eleanor cried out as something invisible seized her wrist and threw her hard against the table. Pain exploded through her shoulder. The athame skidded across the floor out of reach. The creature unfolded slowly from the darkness above her. Smiling now with too many teeth. “You opened the door,” it whispered happily. Lightning flashed. The thing suddenly froze. Every face beneath its skin turned toward the window at once. Toward the forest. A strange sound echoed through the storm outside. Not thunder. Something deeper. The woods themselves groaned as ancient magic tore through Blackwood Forest at terrifying speed.

Return of the Rejected Luna

Return of the Rejected Luna

It sounds like something or someone is moving carefully, trying not to make any sound but Ida can hear it anyway. Ida is in no mood to stall, so she growls to alert whoever is in the woods that she knows he/she is there. There’s a responding growl to Ida’s and eyes appear in the darkness. My heart jumps at the sight of the eyes staring straight at Ida and I remember the nightmare I had, the red glowing eyes in the dark woods. Was that what this was? Was I going to be attacked by whatever had killed the cook in these woods?

Shadows of the Lost

Shadows of the Lost

Fumbling on her feet, Z laughed, a heavy, cruel one that made even Dark stood from his throne, looking wildly at Z whose hair has been streaked with quite a darkness that honors the night, dotting stars twinkling from it as though some kind of hairpins. “How lovely it is to see you, Dark Sylvania!” Z looked over her shoulder. Dark moved back a little, gritting his teeth. Her eyes shamed even death, where the flames darker than the night flickered through, dancing like wildfires. “Now, don’t be shy, m’dear. It’s just me. Your greatest nightmare.” And she laughed once again…

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

The Dark Side

he doesn’t even understand what the girl’s shouting but she seems like a witch –chanting her evil spell “Don’t just stand! Fight!” he urges his team as the undead still multiplying like crazy “A –are you su –sure about this Alfonso? They outnumbered us!” cowardly hiding in the corner, some people did not help them and just settled themselves in the dark “Choose people! Fight them or die here? That’s the only thing that we can do” Alfonso shouted and the cowards still crept in the dark “wa –what’s this?” “Ahk!” it’s a great mistake to hid and cover up in the darkness because where there’s a dark the shadows/soul is more dominant

The Light In His Dark

The Light In His Dark

When I enter, I quietly close the door behind me and fish for the lock in the darkness, my hands shaking so much I almost give up and cry. Once I've finally locked myself in the dark room that I have no idea of what it's purpose is, I run my hands over the wall and find the light switch. All the lights flicker to life in an instant and a rather large movie room is revealed. Even with all the perfectly laid out blankets, comfy-looking chairs, a gigantic movie screen and a snack bar, the first thing I notice is the 'emergency exit' sign and it's bright red lighting.

Claimed By The Darkwood Brother

Claimed By The Darkwood Brother

GEMMA The darkness came with the blow of his dark energy. It was suffocating and it wound around my neck like a snake. I was between consciousness and oblivion. I could hear the distant echoes of battle. The sound of growls, clashing swords, pained cries. But they were all muted. It sounded like I was underwater. My body felt heavy, pinned down by an invisible force. Aedin’s voice came through the fog in my mind. “You thought you could defeat me, huh? White Wolf? How pathetic. You overestimate yourselves."

The King's Mate

The King's Mate

It wasn’t from a sentinel wolf, but it was from someone she was trying to remove from her mind – but slowly trying to submerge her. Her eyes gleamed in its lighter shade – making her feel something inside her. Something that was so unusual yet seemed so familiar – a burning desire that was slowly consuming her. *** POV: Leah Darkwood In the intervening time, in the Dark Wood Pack Mansion. Leah was standing in front of the dart board and trying to target the bull’s eye while the leader of the hunters was standing at her side. “Have you found out something about what I have asked you to do?” She seriously queried the nervous hunter’s leader.
