Rowan grabbed Alexs arm pulling him against the desk. Their bodies pressed together. Alex could feel the line of muscle beneath the suit. "You have no idea what you are walking into " Rowan said, voice rough. "This company is not business. It is a cage.. I am both prisoner and warden." The confession slipped out small but real. Alex caught the flash of something haunted in Rowans eyes.

"No. Please don't do this." The man's voice cracked as he struggled. I shook my head. "What are you doing?" I demanded. "You're not seriously going to tie them up and leave them here, are you? You know they won't have much chance of surviving." Cage glanced over his shoulder. A small smirk tugged at his lips. "Why do you care so much?" he asked. "Do you know them?" There was something strange in his eyes. It wasn't anger. It was calculation.

“This isn’t a prison. You can't keep me against my will.” “No,” he agreed, his voice hauntingly calm. For a split second, I felt a wave of relief, but it vanished the moment he finished his sentence. “It’s worse.” He turned and walked toward the massive front doors, leaving me standing in the cold light, surrounded by his silent army. I looked back at the gates, now far in the distance, and realized the truth. The cage was beautiful, and the bars were made of silk and stone, but it was a cage nonetheless.

He looked at me. "You said you were a waitress," he said. "That you were nobody." "I am," I whispered. "Let's see." He opened the door. It was a holding cell. In the center of the room was a cage made of thick iron bars. Inside, a wolf paced back and forth. It was huge, its fur matted and grey. Its eyes were red-rimmed and crazy. "A Rogue," Declan said calmly. "Captured three days ago. He hasn't eaten since."

"That bastard pushed me on his desk and fucked me. He didn't even ask me out; he didn't ask if I wanted him, and he pushed me that way. Isn't that crazy?" I slammed my cup on the table, my face showing my anger and shock, "That's crazy. Did you arrest him?" Pulling up my sleeves, I was prepared for a fight. "Let's go meet him in the cell. I will kill him for you!" I was getting drunk, and my voice was getting louder. Frank waved his hands, "Forget it, forget it. I will just forgive him," He said magnanimously. There was no trace of anger or helplessness on his face at all.

Panic rose in my chest as the memories came flooding back—Jayden Newton, his piercing gaze, and his cruel words. I tried to pull myself upright, but my restraints made every movement a struggle. The chains clanked, echoing ominously in the chamber, and a wave of despair washed over me. Where was I? How long had I been here? The sound of the door creaking open drew my attention. Despite my desire to scream and resist with all my strength, the only thing I could do was lie there, confined under him. However, just as swiftly as the chaos began, it ceased. Cage abruptly withdrew from me, his breathing uneven and strained. His body shook, his hands balled into fists at his sides. He appeared on the verge of breaking, and I could perceive the tension in every feature of his face. The look in his eyes was no longer wild, but instead filled with shame and self-loathing.
