‘What is this merchant ship in front of me?’ “H-How is this possible? Am I seeing things? The all-out blows of the four peak Infinity Rankers didn’t even shake that damned ship at all, and they were also injured? Is that a merchant ship or a mobile military fortress?” One of the three leading space pirates asked in disbelief. “Come, let’s go over together. I want to see how high this merchant ship’s defense power is,” Boss said with a gloomy face.

"Impossible. It's like having soup and dropping a piece of chicken gizzard into the soup—I might spend half an hour fishing it out and still end up unable to get it. He buckled the harness over his head. "Take a seat guys, this is going to be fun." Tom sat down in one of the four seats against the back wall. He buckled his harness as did the other three men. "Pod seventy-one ready," Aidan said into the headset. The huge ship in front of them turned to face them. The thing was massive. As one, a bunch of spikes released from the ship and formed a pattern. They approached the human ship. Tom knew these. He had learned to pilot one a lifetime ago. Those were darts, offensive ships used to attack. The darts grew closer and flew in a pack. Lasers beamed out of them in short rays and hit the ship.

At this time, Connor Clarke and the rest were also released from the car. Standing on the coastline and looking at the huge golden cruise ship as well as the eight battleships in front of them, they suddenly felt a wave of chills. That was because the battleships were only eight of the thirty scattered over the waters of Arcadia Island. They each held extremely strong combat power!

"Smoke's clearing a bit to the west. Wait... ships. Lots of them. Ezra, confirm?" Ezra whistled low. "Holy crap. Lila's launching everything. Hybrid warships, at least thirty. Big ones with those weird glowing cannons. They're heading straight for Blackthorn waters." I strained my eyes against the glare. The fact that both men listened only made her more suspicious. The ship dropped hard toward Earth. Riven flew between Council carriers while weapons opened fire from every direction, each strike bending away from them when Lucien lifted one hand. White chains appeared in space, massive enough to wrap around warships, and dragged three vessels out of formation. Ashar sent fire through the links, melting weapon systems while leaving life-support grids untouched. Mae watched them fight with terrifying precision and wondered how many worlds they had destroyed before learning restraint.
