Cyril woke up looking around the woman as his sweaty body steadily sat up on the bed, he rubbed his forehead gulping down remembering the dream he just had. It wasn't actually a dream just like his nightmare, he had lived that moment, the peace, the solace and joy he was forced to embrace that night was nowhere near him tonight.

As the sun began its descent, casting long shadows through the dense forest, I curled up against the soft moss-covered ground. ~MERRY POV~ Justin, a competent police officer, and I had been spending hours together. I told him about a dream I had, where a man was driving a car under the influence of alcohol and ended up crashing into a petrol pump, causing a fatal accident. Justin took my statement and closed the case. He is an excellent detective who often handles investigations independently, and he's willing to risk his safety to apprehend suspects.
