"He or she... must have done something, my parents' lives were altered. They didn't get together, and I wasn't supposed to exist," he almost whispered the last words he said.
We all went quiet again. I nodded, acknowledging that I understand what he was saying.
"I'm lost," Sienna uttered, looking at me. With her blank face, I knew she got lost with James' explanations.
"The grandfather paradox. If someone altered the lives of his parents, his birth would be impossible. He shouldn't exist." I explained, still staring at James.
