The Rejected Healer's Retribution

The Rejected Healer's Retribution

"The Akasha-Parasites are 'Smoothing' our reality. They find the highs and lows of our history-the Great Wars, the first time we learned to Shift, the birth of Lyra-and they're leveling them into a flat expanse of 'Nothing-Happened.' They want a universe of perfect, silent balance, Kael. A universe where no one has a reason to howl." Kael stood on the balcony of the Spire, gazing out at the dimming world. He felt the "Origin-Spark" in his chest vibrating with a discordant rhythm. The Spark was part of the Designer's old logic, but it had been changed by Kael's humanity. It was the only thing the Parasites couldn't easily consume because it was a Paradox. It was the light of the beginning wra

The Abandoned Luna's Return

The Abandoned Luna's Return

She anchored the **Paradox**. She grabbed the little girl’s other hand, creating a circuit. The Original (The Past) and the Derivative (The Present) were connected through me (The Bridge). --- ### The Feedback Loop The Primary Kernel let out a sound like a thousand glass bells shattering at once. "What are you doing?" Aris screamed, shielding his eyes from the golden-red-white light. "You’ll crash the entire sector! You’ll delete the Earth!" "Let it crash!" I yelled. "I'd rather be a glitch in the dark than a masterpiece in your cage!"

BOUGHT BY CRUELEST ALPHA

BOUGHT BY CRUELEST ALPHA

The immediate threat is gone. The cost is a new kind of terror. The Consensus is not destroyed. It’s… plagued. A rogue, logic-bound god now infected with an irrational, human idea. It will not rest. It will not stop. It will analyze every star, every atom, every living thing, searching for a way to resolve the paradox, to "cure" itself of the illogical thought. It will tear the universe apart looking for a logical reason for self-sacrifice. And it will never, ever find one.

World of Tomorrow

World of Tomorrow

Looking up towards the Trust’s highest floors, it seemed it couldn’t be nearly so far to the ground as her panicked mind had told her it was. Suspended in that still strange instant from the inexorable flow of change under the vast and gloomy gray sky, at once lifted and falling, at once frozen and fluid, Evelyn saw every part of the immortal moment, as surely God must. Just it, and Mr. James’ warm wrist still clutched tightly in her other hand and she, trapped together above the power of time, blindly staring into the eternal spaces of depthless existence.

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

The Strange Call Across Time and Space

The Strange Call Across Time and Space

The little girl's puzzled voice echoed from the other end of the line. I quickly changed my tone, asking, "What year is it now?" "It's 2002," she replied. My guess was correct! I remembered the girl's mother had killed her exactly 20 years ago today, so I asked again, "Today is July 3rd, right?" "Yes," the little girl said. The date was the same! The internet said the little girl was killed at 10:00 pm, and it was currently 9:00 pm, so she still had a chance to escape!

DJS- The Journey of an Unexpected Jumper

DJS- The Journey of an Unexpected Jumper

6 seconds in light is just approximately 1 second in the dark. Trevor: So what you are saying is that our interplanetary communication problem is simply a reverse math problem. If what is positive is the negligible then reverse the equation so you get more of the positive? DIANA: Correct. DIANA: Reporting... Boat approaches in T-minus-5-minutes. Maintaining stealth and hovering 10 meters above warp destination. Trevor sends a short message to his friends through his phone. To: T-Lovers, Lee A., Kael R., Yang W., Ed M.

THE REJECTED LUNA’S FOUR KINGS

THE REJECTED LUNA’S FOUR KINGS

The tides of the Emerald Sea didn't retreat; they rose in a perfect, vertical cylinder toward the sky. "The planetary mass is being... disputed," Nathaniel reported. He was strapped into the command chair of the Sun-Spire, his hands moving over an analog brass astrolabe. Without the silver-logic, he was calculating the end of the world with geometry and ink. "Emma, this isn't a ship. It’s a Celestial Parasite. It’s a Void-Star—a sentient singularity that follows the 'Bloom' of integrated civilizations. It doesn't want our land or our iron. It wants the Soul-Data we just stabilized."

The Last Station Standing

The Last Station Standing

The signal shot upward, piercing the mountain, piercing the atmosphere, hitting the Precursor-Overseer like a tidal wave of blood and tears. Inside the Precursor network, the cold, perfect logic-gates began to rust. The Quarantine-Protocol stuttered. For the first time in an eon, the "Great Silence" felt a chill. They were being infected with the concept of Linear-Time. They were learning that things that begin must also end. The Price of the Stars The vault began to collapse. The Structural-Anchor-Points vaporized as the energy back-flowed. "MOM!" Elara screamed.

Project Heartbreak

Project Heartbreak

The cafeteria was filled with noise; Shouts from the jock table, the high-pitched laughter from the cheerleading squad, the general chaotic hum of students. In our corner, tucked away by the large windows, it was quieter. “So, if you really think about the temporal mechanics introduced in season three,” Ben was saying, gesturing wildly with a French fry, “the entire ‘alternate reality’ arc is actually a bootstrap paradox. They didn’t create a new timeline; they were always the cause of the original anomaly!”

The Watchmaker's Will"

The Watchmaker's Will"

"The eighth node isn't patching the system—it’s overwriting it! It’s forcing the other four platforms to synchronize with a historical anchor that shouldn't exist!" The four robed figures of the Council recoiled simultaneously. Their blank holographic visors fractured, the neat sequences of binary code exploding into a chaotic scramble of ancient cuneiform, Sanskrit, and modern programming languages. For the first time, the chilling multi-tonal chorus lost its mechanical indifference, replaced by a sharp, discordant panic that rattled the team's eardrums. "Anomalous interference detected," the Council’s voice splintered, sounding like dozens of individual, terrified people speaking over one
