Nerina pointed to the eastern ocean. "My sanctuary." Aurel pointed to the northern mountains. "My temple." A third symbol pulsed beneath a vast desert. "The Guardian of Flames," Orion said. Another glowed within an endless forest. "The Guardian of Earth." A fifth shimmered over frozen lands beyond the northern sea. "The Guardian of Time." The sixth appeared over a chain of floating islands hidden among the clouds. "The Guardian of Stars." Finally... The last symbol appeared directly beneath Willowbrook Academy. Everyone stared. Lucien frowned.

As I flipped through the pages, a passage caught my eye: “In the heart of Silverwood lies a power long forgotten, a bloodline of werewolves with abilities beyond imagination. Their lineage is marked by a symbol, a key to their heritage and a warning to those who seek to harm them.” Werewolves? My heart raced as I read the words. The passage went on to describe the symbol—a series of intricate lines and curves that matched the etching on my door. According to the book, the symbol was a mark of the Silverwood bloodline, a sign of their power and their right to protect the land.

“What is it?” I looked ahead. A faint mark had been carved into the trunk of a tree. A wolf. Surrounded by flames. My blood ran cold. I had seen that symbol before. In the ancient records. The same symbol connected to Nyra. I reached toward it. The moment my fingers touched the carving, Fenrir growled. This is a warning. I stared into the darkness ahead. “No.” My jaw tightened. “It's a message.” Kreos looked confused. “To whom?”

Kei and Plifer opened their eyes and looked at Fullus who was holding his palm. "What happened? "Kei asked in surprise. Plifer next to Fullus looked at Fullus' palm which had a burning mark. "Phoenix ?! "Plifer screamed a little. The burning effect on Fullus' palm was in the form of a picture of the Phoenix and the five elements on top of the Phoenix. Fullus saw the burning symbol on his palm and he asked Kei about the symbol. "Have you ever seen this symbol anywhere? "Fullus asked. Kei nodded hesitantly. Of course he wasn't sure if the symbol was the same on his neck or maybe not.

Their carriage had just passed the gate with the symbol of, as Yuta told them, three fireballs on it. “Our clan is known to have more fire elemers among its members. So our family symbol is three small fireballs. Combined, they become one big fireball that is Shouha.” Yuta explained as their carriage drove on the streets of the Akamine compound. Darrion smiled widely. “Ahh~ So that’s why I think it’s familiar. It’s the flame in the tree relief at the entrance gate back then, Jai. I think it’s nice if we can learn about the clans’ history, don’t you think so?” He asked Jai, who nodded in agreement.

Lissa tried to shrug but, the movement was limited to little more than a twitch due to the bindings around her hands. A shudder rippled through Penny, “This whole thing just makes me uncomfortable.” Alex perched herself on the bed next to Lissa and studied her branding, a deep frown settling on her face. “See this here,” she pointed to the branding on Lissa’s chest. Penny stepped closer and gave a slow nod. “This is the symbol for ‘possession’ and this one, this is ‘fertility’ and this one is ‘death’.” Alex pointed to each of the symbols that had been burnt onto Lissa’s skin.

I dragged myself up and went to see what was going on reluctantly. “Come with me.” She said in an excited voice and led us to the back of the tree where a huge symbol was engraved. A four-petalled flower. Each of the red petals contained a symbol; a dragon, a werewolf, two witches. The only difference between this symbol and the symbol of code red was the Heart of magic in the center. Her eyes lit up as she said, “Isn’t this symbol self-explanatory.” Zarina, Aslan, and Caleb looked at her dumbfounded. To be honest even I didn’t know what we were supposed to do with this symbol.

Sekora asked. “You will be able to recognize them by the symbols on the hilt, first there is the Tsunami sword recognizable by the wave, next is the Earth breaker sword represented by broken earth, next is the Shadow sword represented by a ghost, next is the Sun saber represented by a sun, next is the Phoenix Wing sword recognized by wings, next is the Speed sword represented by a rabbit and finally there is the Power sword represented by a bull.” D2 replied going back to the lighter tone of voice.

This was a question that I should have asked long before now, but it had honestly not even crossed my mind until one of our warriors commented about his new mate’s heat. She flipped the visor mirror down, looking at the mark on her neck, and smiling. The mark fit her perfectly. It was a lotus flower backed by a full moon. A lotus symbolized rebirth and strength. The full moon symbolized completion. Those two symbols combined to showcase who my mate was. She was a fucking phoenix that rose from the ashes to complete this new and stronger Ziyah.

Cassian frowns as he and Riven stand at both sides of the alpha. Kieran doesn’t answer; he continues searching through the photos till his gaze finally lands on what he’s looking for. “Here,” he points out, jamming his finger on the photo that bears the symbol, identical to the tattoo he saw. “That’s the symbol of the Nirathi,” Cassian points out in confusion. “I know and I’ve seen it.” As soon as the words leave his mouth, realization hits. “What do you mean?” riven grills. “I think the Nirathi is within us.”
