THE BIDDING ROOM

THE BIDDING ROOM

The air feels wrong, too still, as if the night is holding its breath. No symbols. No markings. Just silence. That’s how the Yakuza speaks. Damien hesitates. “Boss…?” Lucien kneels, opens the box carefully, expecting a bomb — but what’s inside is worse. A folded piece of silk, white, pristine. The kind used in funeral ceremonies. On top of the silk lies a simple object: A woman’s hairpin, delicate, ornate but snapped clean in half. A symbol every syndicate understands. A broken ornament means a broken woman.

The Revolution Of The Demon God: Emperor's journey

The Revolution Of The Demon God: Emperor's journey

Xun said with a subtle smile. Tsarayu used his consciousness to enter his Martial space and could actually see a seed-like thing floating near the ground. An entire space filled with stars could be seen inside this seed which just floated a few inches above the ground. His Martial soul stood far from it, still with eyes closed but now it had a new symbol on the dorsal side of his left hand. It looked like an ancient Character but Tsarayu couldn't understand its meaning. He could only guess what it meant. This ancient character was pitch black in color but occasionally a few specks of light could be seen shining inside the darkness. Seeing the pattern, Tsarayu had the feeling that it somehow

THE LUNA'S ECLIPSE

THE LUNA'S ECLIPSE

The circle around us glowed faintly, the white chalk igniting with soft, silvery light. Yuvonne closed her eyes and began to chant softly, her voice carrying in the wind. "By blood, by bond, we stand as one, A promise sworn beneath the sun. No lie shall pass, no truth undone, Bound until our task is done." As she spoke, I felt a tingling sensation spread from my wrist, traveling up my arm like warmth sinking into my bones. I glanced down and watched in astonishment as the blood on my skin shimmered, shifting and reshaping itself into an intricate symbol—a crescent moon surrounded by swirling lines. The same mark appeared on Yuvonne’s left arm.

Fearing Fate

Fearing Fate

Tobias slumps back in his chair. “Me either.” Lucas agrees. Rubbing his hand down his face in frustration and fatigue. The symbol doesn’t look like it belongs to any pack. But it’s clearly some type of signature, or insignia of a group. It looked like the letter ‘u’, with a straight line going across the middle. I run my fingers through my hair, scratching my head in confusion and anger. I just kept repeating the one line left on the note. “Don’t trust a Stone farther than you can throw it.”

at first I thought this was going to be the same as all the other stories. dumb main characters with a jealous girl who wants what isn't hers. I was wrong. this book was fantastic. I'm so happy I stuck it out and can't wait until the next book is finished to read.

LUNAR BONDS

LUNAR BONDS

Luna scanned their surroundings, her mind frantically trying to piece together the puzzle. And then, her eyes landed on a peculiar symbol etched into the wall of the corridor – a crescent moon intertwined with a rose. "The symbol…" Luna whispered, her voice barely audible. "It's a message, Amelia. A clue to the way out." Amelia followed Luna's gaze, her eyes widening in realization. "The rose... It's the symbol of our kind, Luna. It must lead us to safety."

The Nymph’s Alpha

The Nymph’s Alpha

Rosie sat at her desk watching me with a coy smile on her lips. “I’ve called your friend, she said she could come and take a look at the site, but I was wondering if you had come up with what the symbols meant?” “I have found out what a few of them mean.” She opened up a drawer in her desk and pulled out an envelope, passing it to me. I opened it up and pulled out the pictures of the symbols on the stones. “This is the symbol for realm.” Rosie pointed to the picture of a broken triangle. In the centre of the triangle was a circle. She spread the pictures on top of her desk and pointed to a symbol that looked like a tree, the branches spread out above it encasing the tree.

I smiled and nodded to Chelsa, she smiled back and continued. “Well, this symbol is a part of this old language called ירח, or, moon in Hebrew.” She spoke and put the book down before walking towards another journal, grabbing as many as she could; together we ripped red covers off of all the journals. “This is fuckin’ cool,” Arrow laughed, having the time of his life, ripping the covers. Raising an eyebrow and doing my part, I spoke. “I wonder why these symbols are hidden under the covers, why not within the pages or elsewhere in general… Like who would think of this?”

Good story but some events that occurred had no impact on the story and I wondered why they were included unless it’s revealed in the next book, e.g., the Truth Lake 🤷🏻‍♀️ when she got bitten by the snake in the lake, what did that all mean🤷🏻‍♀️ Mind I did skim read a lot of it so could have mis

Let The Alphas Fall For You

Let The Alphas Fall For You

“Shut up.” I rewound, but this time, something caught my eye. Hold the fuck on- I gawked at the screen, then paused the video in a rush. There was a little symbol at the corner of her room, just past the little backdrop barely noticeable, and it looked a lot like COL’s crest. Our school’s symbol was hanging off a jacket but was barely noticeable. “Yo, look at this,” I announced, pointing at the screen. Kai leaned closer and frowned. “Her glorious tits?”

Higan

Higan

He winked at me and I blushed, hurriedly averting my gaze. "Let Jamie have the yellow plate and party hat," I heard Higan say and looked at him again. There were five plates and party hats that were pink, purple, blue, green and yellow. "I don't mind any," I said, interrupting their banter. "Bullshit," he said, walking to me with the yellow party hat in hand. "It's your favourite colour." My eyes widened in surprise. "How did you know?" "Well, your phone case is yellow. There's this yellow sweater that you seem to cherish so much and well, you're blonde."

Frequently Asked Questions

The world of 'Inuyasha' is full of rich symbolism, and two of the most iconic representations of power and protection are the Tessaiga and the Shikon Jewel. Tessaiga, the sword inherited by Inuyasha from his father, is more than just a weapon—it evolves throughout the series, gaining new abilities that reflect his growth. The way it transforms from a rusty old blade into a demon-slaying force always gave me chills. Then there’s the Shikon Jewel, a double-edged artifact that amplifies power but corrupts those who misuse it. Its fragmented state mirrors the struggles of the characters, especially Kagome and Kikyo, who grapple with its influence.

Another layer is the spiritual symbols used by Miroku and Sango—Miroku’s curse mark and Sango’s hiraikotsu (giant boomerang) both carry protective elements. Miroku’s Wind Tunnel is both a weapon and a curse, while Sango’s weapon is literally a family heirloom passed down to protect humanity. Even the sutras Kaede and other priestesses use are woven into the story as shields against evil. The series does a fantastic job tying these symbols to the characters’ personal journeys—every artifact feels earned, not just cool-looking props.
