An assassin dressed entirely in black (a Ghost Unit) dropped from the air vent wielding a short sword. His movements were incredibly fast, almost inhuman. But Mavric was faster. A screaming mist erupted from it, swirling like smoke alive, claws of vapor reaching, choking out the light.

At the poise of cutting the last strap. The knife fell off making a thump. An assassin dressed in black, face cover. He slowly slid his feet in the ground.

Faint footsteps crushed dry twigs along the cliff edge. Five dark figures emerged out of thin air, taking up positions at five directions around the peak. Clad in plain unmarked night garb, they held daggers coated with potent dark venom. The imposing aura of Commander Realm rolled unrestrainedly off their bodies. Dark Blood assassins. The lead assassin glanced at Eira, who struggled to sustain her breakthrough. He wasted no words, crushing a black bead in his palm. Thick dark red toxic fog billowed out, sealing off every escape route on the cliff. The mist hissed corrosively the moment it touched stone.

I released a sigh of relief and settled on the driver's seat but then the car turned silent. "Can I ask you a question?" Leonardo broke the silence after a while. "Go ahead." I answered. "Why did you decide to become an assassin? I mean you have all your life right in front of you and you could have literally been anything else." "I didn't have the option to be anything else. I didn't even get to choose to become this, it was forced on me. He stayed silent like he was ushering me to continue with what I was saying.

The assassin swiped. The blade cut a lock of her hair. Jack lunged, but he was too far away. The assassin raised the blade for a killing thrust.

For them, bliss was equivalent to no b*tchy-asses trying to put you six feet under the ground.
