The Watchmaker's Will"

The Watchmaker's Will"

Screeech! The visor shattered. The assassin shrieked as the overwhelming historical data forced his cybernetic brain to process eighty years of unedited, conflicting timelines all at once. He staggered backward, clutching his head as blue sparks erupted from his helmet seals. Kabir lunged forward, throwing his shoulder into the blinded hunter and sending him crashing out of the shattered second-story window. The assassin fell twenty feet down into the cobblestone street below, his suit short-circuiting violently upon impact.

Replaced by His First Love

He turned his head slowly, locking his gold-sapphire eyes onto the security camera. A Silence-Weaver detached from the shadows of the ventilation shaft. The assassin raised his rifle, the crosshairs centering on the single, pulsing gold vein now visible on the back of Leo’s neck.

The Assassin and Her Alpha Mates

The Assassin and Her Alpha Mates

“He’s the kingpin of global flesh trade. Those pups? Inventory. And he was my original mark when I first came here.” Three sets of eyes blinked at me. I arched a brow at my mates. You never briefed them? Their shrugs said priorities. “Seems our fearless leaders omitted a detail,” I drawled. “I’m not just your Luna. I’m a trained assassin. Interrogation specialist.” Sighing, I turned back. “Seems our Alphas left out a detail. I’m an assassin. A master torturer.” Silence. Then— Marcus barked a laugh. “Fuck me, that’s good. Almost sold it too. Seriously though—” He froze at our stone-faced expressions. “…No way. You’re actually—holy shit! No wonder you’re a badass.” His grin could’ve powered a

Chasing Sofia

Chasing Sofia

Even if I assigned men to watch over her, it would prove abortive. The attackers are Crow members and I know the kinds of men and women that Blake Crow made his assassins and his assailants. They were skilled men and women and they don’t make the same mistake thrice, the third was always a success. In this case, I wouldn’t lie, I was scared for Sofia’s life, I was so scared she would eventually be killed.

Guardian-In-Law

Guardian-In-Law

“Thank you, Mr. Ettinger.” With his eyes sparkling, the Ryokan assassin groveled at Brad and bent over to pick up the money. Brad flicked his sleeve, and a gun slipped into his palm. Before the assassin knew it, the gun was pressed onto his forehead. “Mr. Ettinger, you—” The assassin grimaced in confusion, but Brad opened fire. “Bang!” The bullet tore through the assassin’s brain with a splatter of blood. He went limp to the ground, his face bearing lingering anger and bitterness.

Codename: Aconite

Just ask the former CEO of Akasaka Industries. “I hear you’re the assassin who shot my daughter in Russia,” she says impassively, taking a seat on my tattered sofa like it was her thrown. “Scythe, isn’t it? I’ve heard an awful lot about you, including what a terrific shot you are. Or were the rumours just rumours?”

One Night With Mafia Boss

One Night With Mafia Boss

He thought having women in assassination guild would risk the safety of the guild. Michael, Victor, John, and Karlos are the assassins who take orders from me and father for assassination of someone. Lucas was also included in this group but unfortunately he is no more. Paul, Isaac and Martin are snipers, they are good at aiming their targets and killing them with one bullet. While Lucifer and Maria are like my shadow, they carry out every single disgusting action behind me and they're ruthless assassins with no heart of mercy. If they're in New York, they must have already killed George Bacardi who tried to assault me. "Boss, Maria killed George Bacardi. I tried to stop her but–"

Mating the Female Alpha

Mating the Female Alpha

He looks nearly dangerous. As the assassin draws back to try and stab me again, I catch her scent. It’s definitely a female, and there’s a familiar edge to her smell, one I remember smelling just hours ago. It’s not the natural scent of the killer, as assassins always mask their natural scent, to hide who they are. But the scents are sweet and floral, very girly and innocent, and I realize I have smelled them before. On Jessie! The assassin carrie’s Jessie’s scent with them, they must have been around Jessie just recently! If I let this killer win, Jessie could be in danger!

His Assassin's Love

His Assassin's Love

“Guess you can see that for yourself.” I remained silent, my expression unreadable. I started toward the door, but Casey shifted, blocking my path. “You know,” he said, voice casual, “I’m actually glad he’s gone.” That made me pause. My eyes narrowed slightly, a silent demand for him to continue. Casey’s lips curled into something that wasn’t quite a smile. “I knew what you were from the beginning. Assassin. A famous one, at that.” He tilted his head, watching me carefully. “I always wanted to warn Gerald, tell him exactly what kind of woman he was dealing with. But I didn’t, because I was afraid.”

The Luna's Rejected Assassin

The Luna's Rejected Assassin

How can someone who murders a person be capable of the greatest skill of all, healing? Lucien, I need to remember his name instead of just ‘the assassin’ softly knocking on the door late into the night. I sent Kyra to deal with him but even I had to admit he looked immaculate in a crisp white shirt. He was wearing one of Alexanders, but it was stretched to the max over his wider shoulders and muscles.

This book follows from “The Banished Alpha” and I love how it continues from those previous events but in new perspectives. It’s a wonderful book about redemption, moving forward and love. Bella had such an amazing character growth that felt relatable and honest. And I just adore grumpy Lucien!

This story was so different and realistic, it is one of the few books I read right to the end without skipping pages or chapters, a “feel good” story of a hero and heroine who were not alphas I highly recommend this book and I hope you write stories about their child/children Congratulations ...

Frequently Asked Questions

The title has to go to Victor the Assassin from Tom Wood's series. It's not just his efficiency, but the psychological detachment that makes him terrifying. He's a tool, and the narration gets inside that void where moral calculations simply don't occur. It's chilling in a way that more emotional, brooding assassins aren't.

I tried reading some of the flashier names, but they often feel like action heroes with a specific code. Victor feels like a predator who happens to be human-shaped. The tradecraft details are what sell it for me—the meticulous planning, the weapon selection, the way he uses environments. It makes the fantasy disturbingly plausible.

Wood never lets you forget what Victor is, and that relentless focus is why he stands alone in my book.
