My cheeks heated up as he repeated the action this time on the centre of my palm and just then a strange terrifying noise ensued from a corner. "Amara!" Orian barked pulling me and slamming me on a tree with his large frame trapping me and covering my being I watched as a swarm of large red insects that resembled moths but were as big as bats fly aggressively over us with the screeching noise coming from them and Orian shielded me with his body till they were gone. "Are you okay?" He asked moving back with a hand resting on my cheek.

They quietly left the area. The forest became quiet once again, with only the birds' chirps. Except for the bones on the ground, the wolves seemed to have never appeared. Out of the corner of her eye, Josephine noticed the green, rice-sized bugs on the tree trunk to her left dispersing. They crawled to other parts of the branches. She tucked her hand into her sleeve, held the cuff tightly, and used it to squash the bugs around her. She didn't want these insects crawling onto her. If they were poisonous, it would be even more troublesome. She didn't mind feeling disgusted.

I sniffed in tears and shook my head in disapproval. "I'll survive Lee, please let me carry my cross in this darkness. I caused this– I did–" Just when I thought I would say another word to her, I felt something climb my back and all the hairs on my skin stand and cold goosebumps took over my skin. I let out a loud curling cry when I felt this mighty insect crawled its way on my body in the dark and a stinging pain followed.

Oh God! The foliage was infested. True insects scattered with tiny legs and feet, crawling, eating, and nesting...on me...in me. I feared speaking, afraid they'd enter my mouth. My nose was vulnerable as I blew from my nostrils. Like a bull, I tried to keep them away. My ears and hair crawled with hundreds of thousands of bugs. I spit my request, "Help! Please, make it stop. Not my face, don't let them on my face."

And could she even get a Uber or Bolt driver to come up here? A desolate voice in her mind suggested she camp out here till tomorrow, but really, it was the most stupid idea ever. In spite of the the broiling heat in the afternoon, the night air was cold and a bit biting. A few insects swarmed the porch light, seeking the comfort of it's electric heat. It was probably a matter of time before they descended on her. Her body had always had this strange attraction to insects, they always seemed drawn to her. To her blood. Ugh.

Or maybe like SpongeBob SquarePants. He dropped his mouth. "R-Really? How's that possible?" He raised his hands, shaking them in the air like a confused pig. "What am I supposed to do? Should I… help you slip off your gown or something?" "You, idiot! Go and call Erin! Don't make the cockroach bite my butt!" I continued to run my hands through my gown, seeking a way to grip the insect's head. His eyebrows knitted, and he gave me a puzzled look. "Really? Do cockroaches bite? I don't think I've heard of that before."

Father yells that I must spend one hour in this box for my punishment and I scream when I feel tons of critters coming through the small whole. Cockroaches, centipedes, ants, scorpions, whatever he can fit inside his small one-inch hole right above my stomach has my skin crawling. I scream. I scream as hard as I can. My body jolts back and forth hundreds of time as much as it can through this small cramped space. I scream until I feel the insects crawling around my mouth and then I do the only thing I can. I close my eyes and count down the hour. Crying my eyes out the entire rime.

My eyes were wide open, finally Elias was by my side, boy was I glad to see him! A strange thing began to occur inside me just when I thought it was over. The pain started to grow, only this time it was worse than the bite, there was a fire burning inside me, I began to feel the worst kind of pain I’ve ever felt in all my thirty years of living. It was an excruciating pain— like torture!

No answers. Something buzzed at my ear and I turned sharply to avoid being stung. The thing I reacted to hovered level with my face. It resembled a dragonfly in size, and in every other respect a tiny person with wings. It hissed and bared its fangs at me before zipping off at speed. My legs folded under me and I fell on all fours. My breathing turned to high pitched wheezing until it ceased altogether. I rolled onto my back and opened and closed my mouth, but air refused to enter.

"I don't think black ants are biting someone. They're just ticklish when they run on your skin." Celestine rolled her eyes. "What? Are you just going to stand there or you'll join me here?" Vincent asked while looking at her. She was about to open her mouth when a mosquito bite her arm. "Ouch!" "What? Why?" Vincent immediately sat on the grass and asked her. "Mosquito bites me," she said, pouting her lip. Vincent pulled her arm making her shrill. She's now sitting on his lap on one side while his hand is still on her arm trying to find the part where the mosquito bites her.
