In the heavy silence, Philip gripped the steering wheel tighter and tighter. Finally, he seemed to give in and nodded. "We'll go tomorrow, okay?" His tone was colder than usual. "Tomorrow, I'll go with you to pick a new one. We'll make sure you like it." He didn't speak after that, and the car fell into complete silence. But the car sped up. When we turned a corner, we nearly scraped past another vehicle. I was exhausted too. I leaned back in the seat, not wanting to say a word.

The storm followed them north like something alive. Rain hammered against the boat in violent waves while the black Atlantic crashed endlessly beneath them, swallowing moonlight whole. Every few minutes lightning split across the horizon, illuminating jagged cliffs and furious water before plunging the world back into darkness. Aria stood near the cabin doorway gripping the metal railing hard enough for her knuckles to ache. Behind them, far in the distance, Blackwater House still burned. Even from miles away, she could see flashes of orange breaking through the rain. Smoke drifted upward into the storm clouds like the ghost of something ancient finally collapsing under the weight of its own

It blazes beneath my skin, scorching through my veins with unrelenting fury. I don’t even try to stop it. This isn’t just a storm anymore. It’s an inferno. A force of searing, blistering light and chaos, ready to burn everything in its path. The wine glass shatters in my hand. I inhale sharply, my chest rising and falling as I force myself to think. So, what’s my next move? Summon them here? Let the storm rage? Or go to them—reign it in just enough to listen before I tear them apart?

His words, his face—everything about him made me sick. I went pale and forced a smile. "I can forgive you. All it'll cost is your life." Emily's face darkened. "Nathan, that's enough!" But before she even finished speaking, Jake grabbed a vase off the table and smashed it against his own head. Blood ran down his forehead. Emily and my mother both screamed. A heavy slap landed across my face. For a moment, my ears rang so loud I couldn't hear anything. All I could see was Emily's face—pure disgust and irritation.

Water trickles down into the hollow, soaking into my fur, cold seeping into my bones. I press my muzzle to my paws, my ears twitching to every sound in the onslaught. If Kaelen’s out here… or worse, Blue Raven scouts, I won’t hear them until they’re on top of me. I hate this. I hate being helpless and blind in a storm. The thunder crashes again, rolling endlessly across the forest. I swallow a growl, forcing myself to stay still.

******** THE NIGHTMARE The cold hit her first. A freezing wind tore against her skin hard enough to make her shiver instantly. Then came the sound of waves crashing. It was loud, aggressive, and endless. Elara’s eyes snapped open. The ocean stretched endlessly beneath a storm-filled sky, violent gray clouds twisting overhead while thunder rumbled somewhere in the distance. Massive waves slammed against jagged rocks with terrifying force, spraying seawater into the air as the wind screamed around her. Her breathing faltered instantly. “No…” she whispered shakily. Her voice disappeared into the storm.

THE UNSEEN ENEMY The cold wind whipped relentlessly around the cliffs, tugging at Iris’s dress and her tangled thoughts. The sea below churned violently, waves crashing against the jagged rocks as if echoing the storm brewing inside her. She stood rooted, heart pounding, staring down the man before her—Silas Wren. His figure was bathed in moonlight, his coat billowing like a dark shadow. His smile was calm, almost serene, but in his eyes lay a chilling coldness that made her skin crawl.

I said, She was silent for a while, "Mr. Storm you don't go about picking women and taking them to a random mall to shop," I rubbed my temples, "First, this is not a random mall, this is the galleria, one of the finest mall… and if you need me to remind you, I will, we're here to shop for our wedding…" She cut in, "You mean the fake wedding dress and rings… I understand perfectly Mr. Storm," Samantha replied, sarcasm intertwined in her words.

“The storm is the force’s barrier. It will test us before we can reach the nexus. We must remain vigilant.” Emma nodded, gripping the key tighter. “Then we keep moving. No matter what happens.” As they crossed the threshold into the storm, the air shifted around them. The wind roared to life, carrying whispers that seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and flashes of light illuminated fleeting shapes in the clouds—shadows of things unseen. The whispers grew louder, their tones urgent and fragmented. Emma felt them pressing against her thoughts, tugging at the edges of her resolve. They weren’t just voices—they were memories, fears, doubts.
