Here is a sneak peak of the book.. Chapter One September 17, 2007 “Am I speaking to a mister Owen Matthews?” “Um, yeah, that would be me.. Can I help you?” He does not recognize the female voice on the other end of the line but he has to admit, it is a beautiful voice. He would know how to spot a lovely voice, considering her heard random voices all day long.

Only forward. Only into the storm.

I wasn’t wearing my seatbelt and I tumbled about as the Jeep rolled into the forest and slammed to a stop against two trees. I heard Kiran scream as he left the protection of the circle, and ran toward me. I kicked the door open and fell out of the jeep, bleeding from my head, and cradling my broken arm. I looked back at her and started running deeper into the forest, jumping into the next realm. “Hylja sála.” I ran toward Kiran, somehow knowing that he’d be in the clearing. They stood across from each other, both of them enveloped in their own flames, hers red, and Kiran’s blue.

The ground, the air, my mind. I tightened my hold on Storm. “You’ll have to kill me first.” It tilted its head. “That can be arranged.” Before I could move, the river surged upward, waves breaking in midair like claws. I braced for the strike, but Storm lifted his head. “Stop,” he said. The world froze. The river hung suspended, droplets glittering like glass. The mist retreated, curling away from him as if in fear. Light flared from his eyes, bright enough to burn through the fog.

"Why would a nice, clean sea of water smell like blood?" She moved closer and stared into the black water, her mind jolting at what her eyes perceived. she blinked and saw... It was nothing more than a sea of black water...then what had she seen awhile ago? Qing Yue could've sworn she saw an eye! It was a giant eye smeared with various vein-like throbbing bloodlines. But the disturbing part wasn't the veins. It was how the intersecting veins resembled the waterlines of the New World Formation? What's going on...? How could the veins of an eyeball possibly resemble the waterlines of the New World Formation? And why would they resemble the New World Formation at all?

Who is going to know? KILLER: That’s awesome. Chris is going there next week as well. Going to help out the newbies. Maybe I can go with and see you there. I’m not usually for breaking rules but that rule is ridiculous. No chance Hailstorm wants to join….? HAILSTORM: Mm… lemme think – seeing a bunch of wolves in the icy cold while you two cuddle up with your mates, sorry girls. That’s a no from me KILLER: The boys will be so busy there will be no time to cuddle Hailstorm, so it will just be us

Then without waiting for any more, he left with big strides. Staring at the back of Nicolas, she stood at the parking zone, all alone. The darkness and silence of the parking zone were feeling extremely weird at that moment, it was exactly like the silence and calmness after the storm which has left after destroying everything on its way and leaving behind the marks of its destructiveness and cruelty.
