The Miracle Luna
The black iron gate at the end stood out, and as I neared it, my pace quickened.
When I reached the gate, I stopped, panting. I stared up at the towering iron bars, wondering how the hell I was supposed to open it. There was no handle, no obvious mechanism in sight. Frustrated, I tried to push and pull at the bars, but they didn’t budge.
“Seriously?” I muttered, gripping the bars tightly.
With a resigned sigh, I planted my foot against the gate and began climbing. The iron bars were cold and slippery, but I ignored the discomfort, determined to get over it. As I reached the halfway point, the gate groaned and began to move—slowly sliding open on its own.
