DAUGHTER OF THE VAMPIRE KING

DAUGHTER OF THE VAMPIRE KING

“I'm sure Phoenix wouldn't care about that!... Wait, did you say she was poisoned? By what? By who?” “Yes, I said she was poisoned. I don't have the results to tell me for sure what poison yet, but I would say it was done while she was with that Alpha, maybe even by the Alpha himself.” “But still poisoned by what? There isn’t much that can really hurt us..” “I have narrowed it down to... I think it is silver. I think he hid it in the blood bags he gave to Scarlett... Maybe even in his own blood... I just need the results to know for sure”

The Lycan King's Luna Healer

The Lycan King's Luna Healer

I exhaled through my nose, slow, controlled, the kind of breath I had learned to use when I wanted to avoid turning a conversation into something bloody. “Say it,” I muttered. Robert didn’t flinch, but I could tell he was bracing himself anyway. “I found a trace of the same poison in her bloodstream,” he said. “That’s the bad news.” For a second, nothing moved in me. Even the sound around the tent felt like it dimmed. My mind caught on the word before it fully settled. Poison. The same one from the royal wolf. My body went still in a way that had nothing to do with control and everything to do with instinct.

Be My Enemy's Contracted Luna

Be My Enemy's Contracted Luna

“Give it a few hours, at least, before we try.” “Mother, ” I said. “We really need to know, if you know, who poisoned you. Do you have any idea?” She scoffed, which meant several dried balls of spittle came from her mouth. It was the first time I saw or thought of her as a regular wolf. I didn’t like it, but that was something a pup would think. “Of course I know: my incredible jackal of a husband,” she said. “He’s dead, thank the Goddess,” Iris said, using her rank as the Apothecary to do so. “And he was far from you when this happened, although that’s no proof when it’s poison.”

The Luna's Rogue

The Luna's Rogue

“Why are you asking me this?” “Because…” his expression was full of sympathy as he finished. “Someone poisoned you, and judging by the markers in your hair and blood, it happened around the time you had your early labour. The poison is known to cause miscarriages…and death.” I stared at him, my breath caught in my throat. My first thoughts jumped to Carl, but he knew nothing about poisons, plus at that time, he was still nice to me. “I see,” I said, not knowing what else to say. It seems I might have more enemies than I thought.

My Alpha Mate Wants An Open Relationship

My Alpha Mate Wants An Open Relationship

I say, my voice calm, though inside, I am rejoicing. This is how it has to be. She doubles over, a cry escaping her lips, and I kneel beside her, playing the part of the concerned mate. “It’s okay,” I lie, my hand resting lightly on her shoulder. “It will pass.” But it won’t. The poison is fast-acting, designed to shut down her system before she can call for help. Her eyes meet mine, wide with fear and confusion, and for a moment, I think she sees through me. Not like I care if she does. She is bound to die anyway.

A Divorce He Regrets

A Divorce He Regrets

“How is that possible? He hasn’t been—” “Dominic,” Edwards interrupted, his calm demeanor doing nothing to soothe my rising panic. “It’s a slow-acting poison. It doesn’t show symptoms right away, which is why it can be so dangerous. But the signs are clear.” Raina turned to me, her face pale as if all the blood had drained from it. “Poison? Who would... How could—” I gritted my teeth, my fists clenching at my sides. “Are you sure? How can you even—”

The Luna’s Return: Avenging her lost son

The Luna’s Return: Avenging her lost son

I search my chest for the source of the pain; to realise the wolf teddy I had just placed in my inner pocket was burning me. I remove it, my fingers suddenly burning as I hold my son’s wolf teddy in my grasp, the entire plushie now holding the distinctive smell of wolfsbane. It was poisoned; I have been poisoned by my own husband…he would rather murder me than let me leave. I only had a matter of time before the poison consumes me fully. I drop the toy, my throat swelling as I start to lose vision in one eye…panicking, I move to the ensuite, washing my eyes out with tap water before placing my finger into the back of my throat and forcing the potion back up.

The Alpha King's Plus Size Mate

The Alpha King's Plus Size Mate

Weak. Breathing heavily. I dropped to one knee. My breaths became uneven. Only then did I feel something crawling upward from the wound on my arm. The strange sensation slowly spread toward my chest… My heart… Then realization struck me. Poison. I had been poisoned. Yet instead of resisting it… I simply allowed it to spread. A voice suddenly whispered beside my ear. “It’s your fault she’s dead.” “You couldn’t even protect your own mother.” “You deserve to die for your negligence.”

It’s a very interesting read. I was surprised when it turned out so mystical. The grammar is off and some words are used wrongly, but it is still fairly understandable. What happened to her mate who came to find her? She seems to have forgotten him completely.
