The screams, the pain, the colors, the fear, the leaves— the red.
And on cue, the screams pierced my ears, but this time, they seemed to be closer and there seemed to be many different kinds of screams, as if they were from different people. The flames surrounded me soon after and I noticed, the flame was no longer orange, but a mixture of swirls of red flames inside of the large blue flames. This wasn’t the time to be noticing minor details, but it soothed the burning pain that I was feeling. I screamed for dear life when the flames enclosed me.
