Nothing appeared missing, no torn sheets or obvious changes. But the realization that someone has infringed on my privacy made me uncomfortable. With his shaky hands, Cameron turned to the first page of the notebook and saw Selena's pristine handwriting scattered all over it. Tracing his fingers over the ink of the letters, Cameron cast his eyes all over it, and that's when he realized that it was actually a diary notebook. Selena hated it when people invaded her privacy, but she's not there anymore. Turning from page to page, Cameron read the content that was written on the pages. Most of the things that were written in the notebook were the events that happened ever since Selena moved into the academy. But there was one specific page that was far more different than the rest.

I went downstairs and greeted him. "So what are we watching tonight?" I asked him. "I found this really old movie in the library. It's called the notebook. It's a 1940s movie" he told me showing me the cover. It looked like a romance movie. 1940s,that was really old. I wonder how some of the really old stuff survived.

I had another hour before my next class so I just decided to go to the library and wait there because staying in one place somehow eases the pain. I walked into the library with a cup of black coffee in my hand. I walked to a quiet and secluded place and sat on a chair. I took a deep breath as I drank from my coffee. I took out my favorite book, The Notebook, from my bag and placed it on the desk. I can't count the number of times I had read the book. It has so much behind it, love, pain, sorrow, loss and grief. I cried the first time I read the book. I also cried the first time I watched the movie.

"There is." The honesty caught both Elena and Nina by surprise. He reached into his briefcase again, this time withdrawing a worn leather notebook no larger than a passport. The cover had softened with age, and the corners were rounded from years of careful handling. "I debated for a long time whether to bring this." He placed it gently on the table. "It doesn't belong to the Institute." Elena looked at the notebook but made no move to touch it. "Whose is it?" "It belonged to Professor Markus Weiss."

Behind the card there was a number and Jonathan's initials. I compared the signature and understood that the notebook had been his at some point. That could only be a terrible joke. A very ugly game. But I found myself flipping through the pages, trying to find Suzane's name. Maybe that was Jonathan's Death Note, his little reckoning notebook. But only Hunter was a well-known name for me. All the others were mere whimsical handwriting. I started thinking about the possibilities for that notebook to exist. If it were a list of traitors, then it would make sense for Hunter to be on it.
