For eight years, I'd waited with everything I had. I was done waiting.

And deep inside me, something stirred. “What was that?” I murmured, heart hammering. “Did something just… growl inside me?” I turned slightly, searching the air again. "What is this smell?" "Why does it feel like something I’ve been waiting for my whole life?" "And why, after all this time, does it feel like the answer is finally walking toward me?"

He went on. That was enough to snap me out of whatever phase I was in because I didn't even have the first idea of whatever was going on and was just trying to pick up the pieces of my life. There was nothing hurtful than waiting everyday and expecting a miracle to happen yet none came and it was almost as though you had to fight for it. I headed into the conference room where everyone was supposed to be gathered and waited for the test to begin. It wasn't supposed to be as hard as they had made it look.

“He’s my father." “He asked us to help find a match for you. It took us some time, given your unique condition, but we finally have one.” I hung up, stunned, trying my hardest to hold back my emotions. Finally, I boarded the plane and left everything behind.

I’m a grown who has grown needs and desires. My heart is beating a thousand times faster. I feel like it’s going to explode any moment if I don’t see them anywhere. I had been waiting in the airport for someone to pick me up, searching for any sign of the guys, but nothing. It’s been over thirty minutes and still I can’t see a trace of them.

The Adam that no one else but me could see I'd woken up with a start, recalling the message and had taken my phone to check if I hadn't been hallucinating. Turns out I wasn't. "Four hours. Give me four hours,"I texted. Adam replied almost instantly, "I have waited weeks. I can wait four more hours. I'll be waiting." My heart raced with excitement and I clutched the phone to my chest. He had texted. Finally! I had waited for so long that I almost gave up. Perhaps that was the problem. Waiting.
