This time, I wasn’t just running. I was leaving for good.

"I heard she had her managers sign a bunch of long-term contracts and handed over some assets. I thought it was because she was preparing for marriage. I didn't realize she already planned to leave." Ethan's eyes snapped wide open. His voice rose due to anger. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?!" His mother grew incensed, too. "I should be asking you that! Why would Stella suddenly leave like that? She used to like you so much. For her to suddenly cancel the engagement and go that far away—you must've done something to her!" "I—" Ethan wanted to deny it out of instinct, but the words caught in his throat. Everything from the past few days replayed before him.

Allie professed as they separate ways. "Time is up.!"

He tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. "Get ready, we will be leaving in an hour." He says. I groan, I totally forgot about leaving. I don’t feel like leaving here. "Do we have to leave now?" I pout like a baby. Richie lightly chuckles "Yes we do." He responds "Okay." I give in

I had told myself I would leave when it was necessary. Now it was very necessary.

Sylvia muttered. "I know but still, I want to leave, I'm even missing my house" Rose said. "Aunt.. don't leave, stay" Kathy said. "I'm sorry honey but I want to and besides I don't have to take care of you guys again, you have my lovely Sylvia" Rose winked and Sylvia smiled lightly. "Fine then, you can leave if you want to" Damien muttered. "So when are you leaving?" Freddie asked. "Tomorrow" "What! so early, you should have told us since so we would be prepared" Kathy shouted.

"What exactly is wrong with you?" Okay, this was my cue to leave. I grabbed my jacket from one of the metal chairs. "I don't have the time for that. Why don't you go back to your party and take care of things?"

Ledger shot up from his chair, green eyes searching my face. “Jesus Christ, Kane…” his voice trailed off, brows drawn. “Atlas…what is happening?” Calista sat up, voice shaking. The words burst free from my throat without a second thought— “We have to leave. Now.”

Ayisha was calling. She hesitated before answering. “Ayisha?” The voice on the other end was rushed, urgent, nothing like the usual teasing calm she knew. “Tessa, listen carefully. You need to leave that house tonight.” Tessa straightened, her heart skipping. “What? Why?” “There’s no time for why,” Ayisha hissed. “You need to take the kids and go. Don’t argue, don’t ask.
