Charles glanced at the clock on the wall. His expression darkened with anger. "Why didn't you wake me up earlier? Do you have any idea how important today is for me? Just wait. I'll deal with you when I get back!"

Gather whatever you might need for the journey.” She touched my arm lightly, her voice softening up. “Listen, Melody, this is not the time to doubt the possibilities but the time to act. You have limited time in case you have forgotten."
