I hid my face in Daniel’s chest as the traitor laughed at my expense along with the intruders. We went through a lot in the past. Sometimes together. Sometimes alone but we still faced it head on and conquered every problem. The result of the struggle, our beautiful family. Our wonderful pups. The loving friends we have that are more like family and our delightful packs. I can say the struggle and pain was worth it if the end result is this beautiful. He used to think that destiny might be like India's caste system, where a high destiny equated to a high caste, meaning a person of high caste only had a high social status, but they didn't inherently possess great strength. People of high caste could still get sick, age, and face various accidents just like anyone else. However, Vera's words suggested that destiny was far more complex than he had imagined.
