Jace Proposes To Clary Novels & Stories

Two years. That's how long I was gone. I volunteered for the Northern territory. And at my welcome home party, the “Truth or Dare” challenge was about him. Jaxon. My mate. The pack was howling with laughter, teasing smirks all around. “Alora, spill a secret! How’d Alpha Jaxon get that nick in his left ear? What’s his favorite food? And how long does he last during his Rut?” I answered each one. “A rock shard from an avalanche. Venison with moonpetal. And in bed… exactly one hundred and eight minutes.” Fifty questions about him. I nailed every single one. Clara, the pureblood she-wolf always at his side, propped her chin on her hand. “You sound just like his mate, don’t you?” Someone else jum

Aria looked out the window, then whispered, “I’m scared.” Valentina kept her eyes forward. “So am I.” “But we’re still going.” “We always go. That’s what it means to love someone in this world. It means you keep showing up, even when your heart feels like it’s shattering.” When they reached the edge of the industrial district, Aria stepped out and looked up at the gray buildings, lifeless and looming. It looked like the kind of place people disappeared in. The kind of place secrets died. Inside one of the buildings, Jace sat in a chair, tied and bruised, his face swollen from a fight that hadn’t gone in his favor. Across from him stood Clara, her once-kind face now a mask of cold calculation

His parents must be thinking that he would accept what they pushed in front of him. "Please mom, dad, don't talk about me and that woman. I had told you about it on the phone and now, I have come to reaffirm what I said before. I am not interested in your arrangement. I cannot be with that woman nor with any woman at that, at least not now. When I find the right woman that can take Clara's place in my heart, I will get married to her" Jace declared. "That girl will make a good life companion for you. Just get to know her first. Besides, our families would be bonded together more and our business horizon will expand…"Henry was persuading when Jace said "Marry her off to Chase. He's your son a

You never once asked what I wanted, and you never cared how I felt. "So now, when you say you regret it and that you're willing to give everything up, it doesn't matter anymore because it's too late." My voice stayed steady the entire time, without a trace of anger. Once a heart had turned to stone, it no longer stirred for the person who hardened it. Robert's face went pale, his panic intensifying. "It's not too late, Clary. As long as you cancel the wedding, we can start over. I'll spend the rest of my life making it up to you, okay? I can give you everything. I can give up everything for you!"

There is a misunderstanding between them. Wait... Why do I think like this? I have been eaten up by the system that I am in the book. The hardness of the word in my mind. I heard the door softly open and close. I didn't bother to look at whoever the ghost was who entered because I knew it was just Chelsea. "My lady, His Grace arrived from his journey. He sent an order to call you and have breakfast with him." I looked at her and frowned. I was told that the father of Juliet is out for a journey to Vegas, the place where the mining industry is located. It was according to the book, if I haven't forgotten.

The kiss deepened slowly. Not rushed. Not desperate. Just warm. Tender. Everything Jaxon's forced kiss had not been. This wasn't about taking. This wasn't about claiming. This was about choosing. And I chose him. When we finally pulled apart, my cheeks were burning. Theorone looked equally affected. Which was deeply satisfying. For once, the composed Alpha looked completely unprepared. "I think," I said carefully, "that was your answer." His laugh was low and rough. "I think it was."

And it proves that the Claire that Diaz used to know is not the Claire who is now in front of him. "Our first meeting should be more normal than this," Diaz exhaled, loosening his stiff body when he felt that nothing would change from their stubborn attitude. "It's more normal if I don't send a strange offer that time." Diaz's eyebrow rose, trying to feel what Claire meant, "Ah, that marriage proposal?" Claire clucked, averted her gaze which had not broken since, but returned a second later with an even expression. "Forget it, think I was crazy at that time."

Clary smiled at me again. Then she turned, holding her daughter, ready to leave. I couldn’t stop myself and asked, almost pathetically, “Do you have someone now?” Clary’s expression didn’t change. “No.” My heart tightened, and the words slipped out before I could stop them. “Clary, let’s get back together. I love you. We have a pup. Please, just for Alice…” Clary shook her head. “No, Alpha James.” “Why? I love you!”

The stare between Clara and Jane’s Dad increased. Alex cleared Jane and told her that nothing would ever work between them. “This is my wife. So I think you should leave with your family. Oh! You guys are invited to my wedding today.” Alex conveyed coldly. Hopelessly, Jane and her mum decided to leave. But Jane’s Dad remained there. “Have I met you before?” He asked Clara and Clara found herself responding to him. “Clara, there is no time. Let’s get inside.” Alex and Sophia told her but she was too engrossed.

“What do you want?” “To talk.” Maya’s smile widened. “About Alex.” Clara stared at her, heart thudding. “Stay away from me.” “Too late for that, sweetheart.” Maya’s gaze dropped to Clara’s hand. “No ring yet? Interesting.” “I’m not afraid of you,” Clara said, even though she could hear the tremor in her voice. “You should be.” Maya reached into her purse and pulled out a flash drive. She placed it on the table between them. “Everything you need to know about the man you love. Including how quickly he moves on when things get messy.”
