Born to shine

Born to shine

He said nothing, but rested his head over mine, and after a moment, I felt his body relax. A moment later, one of the elders started. It was a beautiful story, shared in her family for generations. It was about the king courting an elf princess, about a competition born out of nowhere, and about the princess riding a white horse while the king ran in wolf form. She had slipped while jumping over a river, and he had caught her, saving her life. And when the guards caught up with them, he had been given clothes and had ridden the horse back with the princess secured in his arms.

' jack was far more dumbfounded than his face was giving credit for . In the guild hall he got his card and decided to take a job to kill some minor demons that seem to resemble fantasy goblins but from the little bit of his memories he knew that those things where just what are called lowly beings that line wherever there's concentrated energy but still .'no...hell no...goblins for real?...God what the hell do you think this is funny or something?' Jack just took the paper from her and sighed "hah im off give me 30 mins and I'll be back more or less "

Under The Seeing Moon

Under The Seeing Moon

“About that, how did it start?” “There was a story my grandmother used to tell me when I was a tucker. There was once a king who was young and charming. He had all the riches of the continent. One night, an old lady wearing rags knocked at the golden door, asking for shelter under the stormy night.” “What happened?”

The Demon

The Demon

He had barely touched merchants, which was rather odd for a bandit. As it turned out, he wasn’t a bandit at all. They say, life often repeats itself, which was the case there as well. Jack was the middle son in his family. His inheritance hadn’t been big, but it was enough to feed him until his death. It came from a small estate, famous in the entire kingdom for its honey production due to having honeysweet heather. An old recipe allowed them to turn that plant into both honey and mead, both absolutely delicious. The brewers had kept their secret fiercely, but they had told it to Jack. Why not, really? He had been family, married to a brewer’s daughter as of two years ago. And everything wou

Leading My Family to Glory

Leading My Family to Glory

Blair immediately hid under the covers. Tyr began speaking softly. “Once upon a time, a girl lived with her younger brother in a tiny village. One day, the children’s mother needed to go somewhere far away. Hence, she asked the girl to look after her younger brother at home. In the evening, Grandma Bear pretended to be their grandmother and came to their house. In the end, when they were sleeping, Grandma Bear ate the younger brother’s toes because they were dirty!” Tyr spent nearly ten minutes to finish telling the story about Grandma Bear to Blair.

He laid on the couch and continued the story. A few hours later, Jimmy found himself in the main hall, surrounded by the servants. He was telling them one of the stories he wrote back in his world. The story about a young prince who chose a commoner over a thousand and made him his husband. All the creatures were dreaming with the beautiful romantic story. They were eager to know how the two princes were going to fall in love and how the king of another kingdom was going to conquer a handsome knight. Jimmy found strange happiness in telling them what his imagination created. He smiled every time they would widen their eyes or squeal and clapped their hands when the king finally kissed his kn

My Fated Alpha

My Fated Alpha

Jack grinned and straightened his back, feeling particularly proud of himself for knowing something that I didn’t. He had that look on his face when a student got the chance to show off in front of an elder who was utterly dumbfounded by his smartness. I looked around for a large rock too and sat near him, “Continue, please. Tell me everything you know about this flower.” Jack rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “Well, all of this is pretty old knowledge that I had either read somewhere or heard from one of the elders as a children’s story that they used to tell us to put us to sleep.”

I said. “The woman you call Aunt Jenny at one time was Sara’s best friend. When Sara was no longer able to care for you, Jenny gladly took over the responsibility of raising you; but always with me in the background watching over. She knows who you are and what you must eventually do. She knows and understands. When we get back to earth, we’ll pay her a visit and she can tell you for herself,” he said calmly. Panic welled up inside me. Could Jack’s story be true? Was I really an alien princess?

The King’s Possession

The King’s Possession

Stepping away, I pull the net curtain up, waiting until Jessa comes to tend to my room. By the time she is done, I've finished translating old Jade Province dialectic from a book from Tai's library. It's old tales of the Beast, stealing children from villages, some never to be seen again. It's hard to tell how much of it is true accounts, and how much of it is fiction.
