“Harlow, forgive me for my sins. Forgive your arrogant grandparents. And your mother, who left you alone. Even Grandma Phillips passed away, and her son wandered off. Now that they are gone, I am your only remaining family.” Mr. Pascoe pleaded, gripping Harlow’s arm with a hopeful gaze.
“It’s okay, Mr. Pascoe. There is nothing to forgive. I now understand my mother. Never once have I resented her, let alone the Phillips family,” Harlow responded in a calm tone. It was a remarkable display of wisdom befitting the Blackmoore lineage.
