Jackson noticed my movements slowing down and took advantage of the opening immediately. He threw his massive weight against my side, tackling me hard right on the slippery edge of the muddy cliff. The ground completely gave way beneath our weight, crumbling into a minor landslide of rocks and dirt. I clawed desperately at the mud, trying to find a grip, but my weak paws just slid right off the wet stones. "Die, you bitch," Jackson growled as he bit down hard on my front leg, using his weight to drag me further down. With a final, violent twist, he kicked off my body and scrambled back up to the safe ledger of the cliff.

Hurriedly, Eden wiped her eyes. “I can sneak us in,” Sir Jackson suddenly piped up, his voice obscenely excited at the very idea, “…it’ll be easy! I have explored the dungeons a lot when I was younger; it was my hide out from my tutors so I know a lot of secret tunnels to get pass the guards!” “…No wonder you’re so dumb.” “How dare you! YOU!” Sir Jackson looked so scandalized Eden almost laughed as he gawked at Adam, “Take that back, you nerd–!”

Bella's voice was softer now, curious as she gazed in wonder at the scattered notes and gadgets around him. "Do you want to see my research?" Jackson’s eyes glowed with excitement. His youthful energy reminded me how much passion still existed in the world. I checked his identity card again—his name was Jackson, a student from a nearby village. "Of course, I’d love to see it." Bella smiled. I hadn’t seen her this happy in a long time, and the relief of that moment was enough to warm my heart. Jackson turned on his laptop and showed us videos he'd recorded underwater.

It’s not often I walk around the streets on a shopping trip; we normally head for my favourite stores, and he’s very good at car to door transport when Wes is with us and can deposit and collect us without parking issues. I saw a lot worse in my line of work, but every time I came across something like this, I couldn't help but feel sad. Jackson was tall, with dirty blond hair bordering to red and freckles scattered all over his cheeks and nose. He had a babyish face. If he was a comic book character, he'd definitely be Archie. The desk across from the bed was flat on the floor, along with papers and stationery which appeared to be scattered everywhere. A black diary was face down.

Madison Jackson spotted us and smiled, that same crooked smile that used to appear when he'd finally solved a difficult math problem. He weaved between tables toward us. "Madison! Hazel!" He spread his arms wide. "You both look amazing!" Hazel, who had been ready to verbally destroy him moments ago, stood up and accepted his hug like they were long-lost relatives. "Jackson! What a surprise! We were just saying how it's been forever!" I caught her eye over his shoulder and mouthed, "Traitor." She responded with a subtle shrug that clearly meant, "But he's hot now."

Holden whispered, pained, “if I had known, I-“He couldn’t even finish his apology. It was obvious he held that guilt inside every day. At that moment, Jackson decided to lunge. Everybody conscious jumped into action, even Virginia. As Jackson began to shift, his body covering Holden’s, Virginia jumped on his back and stabbed the sharp steel needle into his shoulder. I internally cringed; that must’ve hurt! Slowly, the paws morphed back into hands, the hair retracted from his face and arms, his face returned to normal, leaving him unconscious. Wolfs bane! His eyes were filling up again. Jackson ducked his head, peeking inside the car. Pulling out, like he was running from something, he started screaming, jumping on the spot. "Is it a Golden Retriever?" he turned to me. "Aaah!" we all laughed as he broke out into a screaming fit. "Oh my God, my heart's beating so fast," he said, putting his hand on his chest. "Okay, calm down, Jackson," he tells himself before diving into the car.

“The Tall Man isn’t a ghost. He’s a zombie!” Scarlet smiles, going over to the base of the stairs. “Well, you’re in luck. I just happen to know that zombies don’t like cinnamon.
