“I have a problem with any girl who will make my son's life difficult" I took it literal. “Maybe I have one. Maybe I don't". He nodded. “I'll accept that, and keep the interpretation to myself". There was a pause. “So what will you be today, Isaac or Jacob?" I grinned. It was an old joke between us. “There's this meat gravy recipe I want to try". “Get on with it, then". He waved me away. “I'm hungry". I left him, smiling softly. BRANDON'S POV

Jacob said everything in one breath story behind my birth, like what? My head is spinning like a rollercoaster and looking at Jacob with my eyes. "The witches confirmed you even through using the power— the only picture that appeared in front of us was you!" "She felt a sense of responsibility and knew that she had to act quickly to prevent any further destruction. With the support of the witches, she was determined to find a way to end the war and bring peace to her people." I stepped back—the story is not at all conveying anything to me, but Jacob is sounding so serious, and he can never lie about anything to me.

mafia is beating an injured pregnant woman, what a shame!” Jacob says while taking off the glass from his eyes. Zen and Jacob come to the place, and all of his men now target their guns at Jacob. Abram looks at him amusingly and smirks proudly. “Finally, my most wanted prey is here.” “If you think that I killed your daughter, then why did you kidnap my friend and his wife instead of me? C’mon, let them go? She is sick,” Jacob says arrogantly. “Coming to my area trying to show bossism? Kill them,” he tells his man, then Jacob hands up in surrender, “Argh, calm down, I’m not showing bossism, I’m here to surrender to you, I mean, how long our rivalry will last?” He spreads his hand to him but

Sebastian stood helplessly in the kitchen, one hand clutching the side of the table as he tried to breathe around the rush of instincts. “Ez,” Sebastian called, already regretting his life. “Don’t eat him.” Ezra didn’t answer. The front door flung open like the wind owed him money. And there stood Jacob. Tall. Broad-shouldered. Nervous in a hoodie with the sleeves pulled over his hands like a baby wolf trying to look nonthreatening. He held a bundle of daisies and a wax paper bag that probably contained cookies—or a last offering to whatever god might spare him.

Worst is for him to reject us and have the past be repeated. I don't want Jacob to be hurt. Staring back at the both of them, I smiled as Jacob silently gurgle as he lies beneath his father's arm. He's tucked safely and curled up as he reaches out one of his chubby fingers to his Gabriel's face, touching it tenderly.

I would rather face the sin than spend the rest of my life worshipping the temptation. “Yes,” I say, keeping my voice calm and pious. “But can you remind me what Jacob said to the angel he met on that lonely path?” He takes off his glasses. “You mean when he was returning with his family and was afraid of his brother Esau, who was coming after him with four hundred men?” I make my way to the door and lock it. The click echoes through the office. Father Romanus freezes. For the first time all afternoon, the calm leaves his face.

I tell him, and he smiles and bows his head in respect to his dad. Then Dad invited him to join the conversation and I of course had to translate, but in the end, plans were made. After a few hours, Dad and the man Jacob shared hands and drank wine from a glass as a sign that the plans and words were done and respected. Jacob had to leave and sadly told me to follow him out of camp, as I was the only one who understood him. “Are you okay?” he asks me, and I look at him, fighting the urge to touch him.

Jacob gave them a million-watt smile, conveying to them that everything was okay even though it clearly wasn’t. The two boys shared a glance, deciding at that moment that it was best if they let it be and went to bed. Issac quickly said something about just following Cade to wherever he was supposed to sleep, standing and refusing to look at Taylor or Jacob. Cade was similarly speechless as he stood. He motioned for Issac to follow him and the two were gone. “Taylor, I need you to tell me what’s wrong. Tell me what’s wrong.” Jacob’s voice was so

Not wanting to be a pest he dialed Rowan's line instead. ‘Daddy!’ His little voice beamed with excitement from the other line. ‘My boy!’ Jacob called out with pride. ‘How are you doing son?’ ‘I am fine daddy. Guess what I have been up to?’ ‘Oh no, you tell me.’ Rowan giggled. ‘I added some new characters to my cartoon and it's awesome. You would be blown away when you see it.’

Sean opened his bag and took a drawing book, then opened each sheet and showed it to his mommy. "Wow! This is great, and Sean got a ten?" Lerina chuckled admiringly. Sean smiled and nodded. A beautiful view, green grass with a lake stretching out and several large trees adorning it; at the end of the picture, the sun seems to want to sink between two mountain gaps. Then a husband and wife and two children stand facing the lake. "Daddy, mommy and Sean then..." "Younger brother." "Lerina frowned.
