Janessya comments. She is the only one of the women who didn’t have a doctor's appointment today. I felt bad not going with Sapphire to hers, but she told me it was nothing more than a check-up and that she would be fine. Dad had found out about the appointment, and he had one of his guys drive since she still shouldn’t be driving alone. As predicted, she argued about that, but I won the argument in the end when I told her that Dad was the one who had the guy come and pick her up. She still wasn’t happy, but she dropped it and climbed into the car. Janessya kisses Riley and then heads off to her job. She is majoring in music, but she is a fantastic dancer. She teaches at a local dance

~Wren~ Jade is propped up against the headboard of my bed, flipping through a book. She glances up briefly before closing it and setting it to the side as she watches me closely. I have always tried to hide my emotions and put on a stoic face, and sometimes, I can be successful when the dire need arises, but right now, I can tell I’m failing. My mind reels from the truth that just unfolded itself in my lap. I don’t know how to process the information or what to do with it.

"Aside from being a constant asshole? Nothing." "Okay, so whats up?" "Are you in Cascades." "Yeah and I'm with Rider." "How is it?" Halie sighs exhausted. "Don't even ask. I had a battle this morning with the new head of medicine, who is Jaxon's mother fyi, I don't thin we are going to get along." "Why not?" "Well first of all her claim is I know nothing about wolves and I tired to convince her that i babrely matters. Medicine is medicine after all. You treat people they live, you don't they die."

I halted and turned to Jada, who was talking with Logan, and she bobbed her head with a smile. I spent most of my day listening to them blabber about school, kid parties, and werewolves, among other things. No matter how excited or happy my day went, I couldn't get off the fact that I was having recurring dreams of the man, the dagger, and the book. I still saw the weaves, but on rare occasions. I felt its power the day we were by the river. The energy exuding from it was extremely powerful, and I was eager to discover the source of this madness.

LIAM As soon as I left Felix, my irritation still pulsing beneath the surface, I gave him a clear directive: "Dig into this 'Queen of the West.' I want to know everything by morning." This day kept getting better and better, with more mysterious women throwing themselves in my path. This Queen of the West woman, whoever she was, sounded more like a joke and a waste of time, and I had a feeling the stunt she pulled back in the game room wouldn't be her last.

Jessica exclaimed with excitement. "Hello Fred, congratulations on your wedding," I greeted, handing him the gift that Jessy and I had gotten for him. "Thank you, Emily. I'm glad you two could make it," he replied with a smile. "This is my wife. Babe, they're Brandon's little sisters," he introduced us to his wife. "Natasha," she smiled. "Emily." "Jessica," Jessy and I introduced ourselves simultaneously, returning the smile. She seems pleasant. I think I like her.

Shawn nodded, trying not to break eye contact. Jade sighed and looked down at her fingers. “We weren't involved in an accident. We were kidnapped. He was a psychopath. He killed my mother. Gave her cuts all over her body and let her bleed. She died in my arms. Slowly and painfully. I was tortured and... And... R***d. Then I was locked up in that dark place, cold, hungry, and afraid. And every day I prayed for death. But it didn't come. Neither did help.” Jade paused as the words stuck in her throat. The tears were forcing their way down her cheeks as she wiped them off.

Kalista whispered, her eyes regarding him as if he were a loathsome beast. Jade took a deep breath to calm the ache in his heart, then knelt before her, attempting to explain. "It's difficult to explain. I'm a werewolf." "Werewolves aren't real," Kalista shook her head, her eyes revealing anger. "I'm not stupid, Jade. Don't take me for a fool." "I swear on my life, Kalista," Jade said, his voice quivering as he witnessed the harsh emotions in her eyes. "I would never lie to you. Werewolves... are real. And I am one of them."
