"Almost finished," Alex said to no one in particular as she sat back in her chair and stretched her tired wrists. She had been flicking up this file for the past week and wanted nothing more to do with it. Even though she had it memorized in her head, writing it out allowed her to go over every stitch of information. Alex was able to piece the plan out for Lexi's rescue, incorporating the magnetic pole predictor algorithm that Ellie finished. She was almost done. The door to the lab flung open with a sudden heavy blow. Jimmy entered, red faced and stomping straight towards her. Jack was on his heels shouting at him.

I sobbed, grabbing onto Derrick's father's arm. “There's only one thing I can help you with.” Alpha Casper said to me, and it made me perk up. His tone was ever soft, but there was no life in his eyes. He had always seemed like a living dead, even as a retired billionaire and an aged Alpha. “Please, tell me., I said in a desperate tone as I felt like there might still be a chance to prove my innocence and get back together with Derrick. “I can help you disappear forever.”

Finally giving the cold, wicked rejection that he wanted her to feel. “Syzar,” Xaden’s voice cut him off as he held the Alpha King’s shoulder. “It’s an emergency. We have no time for this.We need to tell you what we know now,” he said. Syzar, who felt like it was a punishment when his eyes had to look away from Celeste and back to his friend who had just come back from the dead. “I will hear you out.” Cassian was the first to speak. “You are just going to let a criminal come back? She killed Vada’s grandma for God’s sake.” Cassian said, but Callix snarled at him.

I said. “Moon Goddess will guide us. Otherwise, I have no idea, Jaxon. I’ve never seen corruption like this before.” Sable said and her eyes are worried. “We should also ask Quitara what she can tell us about Alpha Perry.” She said. I mind link Kent to find Quitara and Ethan. Sable is right, we need to understand something about Alpha Perry’s character.

I say. Elder Cainen looks up, brows lifted. “Alpha?” My mouth is already moving. “She’s mine.” The words land like a thunderclap. Shock rolls through the arena. Jehrin actually steps back. “What did you say?” she hisses. I can’t take it back now. “She’s mine,” I repeat, louder this time. “Trial mate.” The wolf settles. Satisfied. Like it was always meant to be said. Jehrin’s voice goes sharp. “This is madness. You don’t even know who she is.”

Aven did not visit the Alpha house by accident. She never did anything without intention. By the time she climbed the stone steps that morning, the pack was already buzzing. Not loudly. Not openly. The whispers had learned caution. But they still slipped through corridors and lingered in doorways, curling around names and glances and unfinished thoughts. The omega is in the Alpha house. The rejected one. Why is she still here.

**Jade POV** “What can we do then?” I found myself desperately questioning William. “Can we get our memories back? Sebastian knows the same person altered mine, Emma’s, and apparently Jasper’s memories, could we find them and make them give our memories back?” I knew I was being unreasonable, but I couldn’t bring myself to stop asking questions, to stop desperately trying to unlock more information. I could feel my entire past and the memories I had of my parents slipping through my fingers, and I wasn’t willing to let them go without a hell of a fight.

Not after all these years of hard work and trying to keep Xander to herself. “You’re not thinking of accepting her, right?” She asked with hope. Xander frowned. “What are you talking about? Were you deaf? I just said she is my mate.” “I heard you but don’t forget what happened with your mother, Xander.” He almost snapped Stacie’s neck for that statement. From the look on his face, she knew she had touched a soft spot. “I'm sorry but it's true. She may not be an Omega but she is still a slave. Do you think your people or the Elders are going to accept her? You need a strong woman by your side. Someone who is worthy of your status.”

The supreme witch drifted closer to them, her face a picture of victory. "Any last words Alpha? Xavier?" I palmed the portal opener in my hand. I had stolen this as a last escape resort. Now I wouldn't even survive the escape. Alpha Jaxon and Xavier trembled obviously fighting to get hold of them to no avail. "Please can I be the one to kill Alpha Jaxon?" I said suddenly when it looked like she was going to give the order. I saw the suspicion flash in her eyes at my request. I lowered my head hiding myself in a cloak of hurt that I still felt about Alpha Kaxon coding Asyrid over me.

I strengthened my grip on her jaw, disregarding her pain, and shouted, "You will only ever be a mistress and whore to Alpha Dragon. Don't dream of anything more!" I would have given her everything, loved her, and given her status and position even if she wasn't Luna. I wouldn't have let my mate suffer, but her rejection and hatred made me furious. I want her to regret her actions and everything she said. She must be with me, even if that means fear and terror from my presence... She stood proudly again and said, looking at me with her miserable appearance and thin body, "I am Jenny Anderson, daughter of Alpha Anderson from the Golden Sun Pack, and I reject you, Alpha Dragon."
