Mason said as Jacke made his way back up the steps to us. "I take it this is the guy?" "Yes, Love, this is my Beta. If it was before, he would've had an easy time facing off hundreds of men. I look into Jake’s eyes and he moves his hand from my arm to my waist. “I do not like Mason. He made tonight significantly harder than it had to be. You handled him well.” Jake moves his face closer to mine. I smile up at him. “He almost got you,” I say, jokingly which causes Jake to laugh.
