exclaimed Megan as Jake went on his way. Jake wasn‘t listening. He put on his headphones, and listened to some oldies. He liked to immerse himself in the sounds of good music. It gave him freedom of thought, while the noise of the city around him disappeared for a while. He mingled with the tourists and moved on, accompanied by the sound of Frank Sinatra in his ears. There was still time, so on the way to Marat‘s antique shop, Jake decided to stop by his apartment and take a shower. It would be a great opportunity to view the day‘s haul before selling everything. "I am Jake Andrews from Golden magazine and I have a few questions I would like to ask you, Miss Skylar," He said. "You are a reporter if I'm right but I don't understand why you want to ask me questions," June said and the man dropped down on the seat beside her. "I am aware that you know Mr. Stahom" He started and June frowned at him. What was this man trying to say?

Yeah, this place was definitely it but I couldn't understand why we were staking out like this. Weren't we supposed to be in hiding and spying on them? One glance at Jake answered my question when he winked at me. They were both crazy, no wonder they needed a new guard. Jake scratched his head as if he was oblivious and smiled sheepishly. " Sorry man we just love the view over here and as a freelance photographer, we wanted to take some pictures okay?" He waved his phone and made to walk past them but was shoved back by the second guy with the mole on his forehead. Had he ever heard of surgery before?

Where would you like to sit down?” Jake asked me as we stood at the entrance of a really fancy coffee shop. Jake opened the cabinet under the sink. Cleaning supplies. Toilet paper. Extra soap. And there. In the back corner. A tampon box. Jake pulled it out and opened it. Inside were actual tampons. But underneath them was a small flash drive. Relief flooded through him. It was still here. Viktor’s people hadn’t found it. Jake pocketed the flash drive and put the tampon box back exactly where he’d found it. He did a quick sweep of the rest of the apartment. Looking for anything else that might be useful. But there was nothing. Just the remnants of Mia’s life before everything fell apart.

I said, hatching a plan to get what I want from Jake. “However, when we got to the store, the manager claimed there are no surveillance cameras in the shop so we couldn't get more information” “Burger shop?” Jane asked, looking surprised. “Yes, it's called tasty burgers. Have you been there?” “No, I haven't, have you baby?” Jane asked, turning to look at Jake who was now lost in his thoughts. “Uhm, No, no, not at all. I have never even noticed the stop” Jake said, smiling faintly.

Then she motions for me to have a seat and asks if I want something to drink before returning to her desk. I make myself at ease and grab a magazine. Jacob Collin appears on the cover, smiling heartily as he stands with his arms folded. His eyes are turquoise blue, and his skin is copper. He could pass for a model in his crisp white shirt and blue jeans. It's easy to see why he's been labeled New York's most eligible bachelor, with that sculpted jaw and high cheekbones. The angle at which the photo was taken gives the impression that he is staring directly at me. I start blushing as I feel a tiny flutter in my chest.

At the end of the day, Leah and I went to our favorite bar to relax. “Cool car,” Athena said. We both stared at the rolls Royce that was looking out of place among old cheap cars that the regulars drove. “I wonder what rich dude decided to pop in today,” I said. “Probably some celeb looking for nomalcy.” I froze when I spotted Jake Rylland in the club. He standing by the bar scrolling through his phone. A few regulars were scattered allover the bar minding their business. They were middle aged local folk who didn't care about celebrity gossip.
