I am Lilah Winters. My husband Knox is back at the pack at the moment, but is able to come along if you should need him to attend”

They both went to college in Georgia, which only makes me wonder even more how Hannah would have heard rumors of Easton. We’re eating dessert when Jake’s annoying ass appears at our table. He’s brought some blonde wearing too much makeup and a dress two sizes too small with him. I roll my eyes as he raises his eyebrows and looks between Easton and me. “So…. Alpha, I take it you found who you were looking for?” I shoot Jake a glare when Easton replies, “Yeah I found Ryan, and coincidentally we both found our mates tonight.”

Mona laughed sarcastically and said, "Don't even mention it. Hannah, that brainless girl, someone was clearly pursuing her, and she told me that my thoughts were improper and that I was overthinking." It was not surprising for Jessica to say this to Hannah, "Have you seen that person?" Mona shook her head and said, "No, but I heard Hannah say that it seemed to be someone from the Jameson family. If I didn't mishear, it should be Jake, his cousin." Jessica raised an eyebrow and said, "Jake is just a cousin, named Drake Jameson." At this moment, Mona suddenly winked behind her, saying, "No need to guess, she brought the person."

"You really disappeared, Maya." Maya didn't offer an excuse. She didn't look away. "I know." Recognizing the rising tension, Ryan stepped into the gap, placing a heavy hand on Jake's shoulder. "Hey. Come over here for a second." Ryan pulled Jake toward the coffee counter near the window, leaving Emma standing beside Maya and her daughter. Ryan leaned against the edge of the counter, his dark eyes searching his teammate's face. "How do you know her?" Jake rubbed a hand over his face, staring out at the tarmac where the private jet was being fueled. "We were best friends in college. Closest person in the world to me."

Maybe it was because I was still annoyed by his behavior earlier, or maybe it was because the way he looked at me sent shivers down my spine, and I just wanted to be far away from him. "You don't remember who I am, do you? Ah, that's expected. If you survived that horrifying accident, I wouldn't expect you to remember anything." He smirked. "I'm Jake Montana, we used to be... friends." He said, but I was a hundred percent sure he was lying. I knew for certain that I had never been friends with him.
