The covers were ridiculous with their shirtless men and promises of happy endings I’d stopped believing in. “These any good?” I jumped. I thought it was a theological study on ‘Fellowship,’ but it was actually this incredibly sappy romance story about two childhood best friends who fall in love after they made a promise to marry each other if they were still single by thirty.” She let out what sounded like a nervous, high-pitched giggle. “They were very scandalous scenes in the book, Leon,” Rose murmured in a low voice. “Their…sexual escapades were so vividly described I couldn't stop blushing, but I couldn't stop reading either.” She laughed again.

It was due to a lack of optimism in living outside of societal conventions. Hannah can’t help but be astonished by his explanations. He had certainly read the book, understanding its connotation and digging deeper into its words. Now, she can truly see a prince. A prince who wasn’t afraid of reading a feminist romance book. But books should focus on societal or political issues rather than centering on romance itself.

"You don't strike me as the romance type." I looked at her intently. "Is it one of those raunchy books with shirtless men carrying scabbards on the cover."
