Jade tapped her feet impatiently on the floor as she scrolled through N*****x, searching for something to watch. None appealed to her as her mind was preoccupied with Shawn. It was almost 9 pm and he still hadn't returned. He hadn't even sent her a text to inform her of his job or that he wanted to move out. Now that Sergio was away, and only his mom was home, it made sense for him to accompany her. She was being selfish to hope he would still stay with her. To hope he would choose her over his mom. To think she meant anything to him.

"Heather, I'll only ever have you as my wife. That's never going to change." I met his gaze. There he stood in his crisp suit, as good-looking as always, but the words coming out of his mouth made him feel like a complete stranger. I might be his wife, but the person he loved was not me. "You're right," I said softly. "I should be content to be your wife. Even though I'm allergic to pollen, I should happily accept these roses you brought me." Jared's expression froze. He was just about to say something when his phone suddenly rang.

Jason quickly countered, looking slightly red in the face which made me surprised. "Not a girlfriend? It's surprising that you would let her in then, who's she?" "That's my Mommy!" Mason yelled and it was his brother's turn to go red in the face. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry," he apologized. "It's fine," I waived. "That means that you must be... Cassandra. Wow, you look very gorgeous, your fiancee is a lucky man." Ahhh... It was obvious that Jason had been talking about me. "Stop talking and embarrassing yourself already," Jason snapped.

Cassidy's POV I stood there watching as they returned from the kitchen nervousness filling me as well as hope since I had been second-guessing the furniture choice the moment they had started looking around. "It's amazing" Starr complemented still looking around as they walked over to me, Jason silently agreeing. "We have an hour before school is over" Jason added him and Starr removing their jacket in sync the sight amusing me. . . . . Starr's POV My eyes ran over her and I watched as she smiled shyly.

Hannah “Do I look like I’m joking? My heart hurts and my childhood trauma is coming back to haunt me. I just don’t want Jensen to be like me. To feel different from his friends who have complete families. Dads who love them and spend time with them. But Jason isn’t like that. He used to be a wonderful dad to Jensen, but slowly he changed. I only realized it recently. Jason started coming home late, then going straight to the bathroom and to bed. We rarely even had dinner together. Everything that was once beautiful and perfect to me is now different.” Suddenly, my eyes felt hot, and within seconds, both my eyes and face were wet.

Beside him, Cameron tried to persuade me kindly, "Miss, you really are lucky. You solved a problem that’s been troubling Mr. Bailey for years." Jenson suddenly tightened his grip around my wrist. "I can’t remember anyone’s face... except yours. We really must be fated." Ha. If he hadn’t already used the exact same routine on me twice before, I might actually have believed him. I quickly forced myself to calm down and analyze my situation. Under absolutely no circumstances could Jenson discover that I was the "vulgar and boring" wife he despised. Otherwise, my easy life would be over. In the worst-case scenario, I’d just start wearing heavy makeup at home so he wouldn’t recognize me.

"Daddy," Jordan said softly. "Daddy's so quiet." Jonas smiled and stroked Jordan's hair. "Daddy has a lot on his mind right now. Just let him be." Jordan nodded and went back to playing the game on his iPad. Jonas glanced at Xander, who was staring blankly out the window. They would be landing at Agera in less than 20 minutes, and Xander's face was growing increasingly cloudy. Jonas was beginning to doubt whether his decision to bring Jonas back to their homeland, where they were both born, grew up, studied, and played together, was the right one.

They almost reminded me of Jayden. “Jared,” I greeted, perhaps too cheerfully. “Long time no see.” Unlike Jayden before and after amnesia, Jared Keller looked at me with a cold, emotionless gaze. There was no friendliness or hostility. However, his hazel eyes were much sharper than his baby brother's, and there was clearly a moment of scrutiny on his part, where he looked me up and down from head to toe. This went on for so long, that it made me feel insecure, as if the casual clothes, hairstyle, and makeup I was wearing were inappropriate for him. It was outrageous, I know. But I couldn't remember the last time I felt as insecure as I did.

Jasmine's POV. "Fancy running into you here." I cooed the instant I saw my arch nemesis looking at me. His eyes splayed with shock but I wasn't happy just yet. I wanted something deeper. I needed something that would break him completely and stop the way he acted. If he thought that there was something that he could do to stop the wedding then he was already too late. "Where is your beloved wife?" I inquired. Jake's eyes roamed around the hall, taking in the designs that were absent during his time. It was surely going to hit him hard that his father had such a memorable wedding while he basically grasped for straws.

Not even time for a goodbye. "I'm so sorry. I can't began to imagine how much you must be hurting. Is your dad there?" "He's with momma’s brothers in the back. Jared is coming home soon, bringing his wife and their baby with them. Come home, please." Jared was Bethany's older brother, he and Jake having been close from so many years of playing football together. He stood and walked toward the ledge, reaching out and touching it for support. Kari stood quietly to the side, but he couldn't make out her expression. His thoughts were rushing all over the place as a light sweat covered his face.
