Hutton croaked biting his lower lips, "He would be dying alongside his useless mother, I'll rape her in front of him, be would watch her scream and wail in pain, after that I'll slit her throat, he will watch all this before dying, that small boy is a big fool and that will lead to his death!!!" Jason scowl gulping all the liquor at once this time,

Five years ago, I married Cassian, the vampire I had grown up with. We had known each other since we were children, and both clans were glad of the match. I believed we would stay beside each other the way we had promised when we were small. Then Cassian fell in love with a human maid. By that time, I was already carrying his child. He turned on his own clan for her anyway and ran off with her to the human world. Everyone was laughing at me. I stayed behind in the vampire territories alone, pregnant, calling Cassian more times than I could count and sending people out to find him. He never came back. In the end, he refused even to hear any news of me. He only had someone deliver a message. "

To summon even a sliver of power. But the Hollow had taken too much. from me. I was almost empty now. As her hand tightened around my neck, it was as if the world had started to fade. Shadows came out from behind. It was Jason. He didn’t shout, he didn’t even warn. He attacked Veyra. His shadows didn’t coil or shield. They ripped. Tendrils of pure darkness lashed out, tearing Veyra’s arms from my throat, slamming her into the opposite wall with bone-crunching force. She screamed so hard as Jason advanced, eyes black, her face twisted in fury.

This was a man who knew how to hurt people and was currently deciding who to hurt first. I approached him carefully. "Mr Winter. Detective Rivera. I need to ask you some questions." "Then ask them fast." His voice was ice. "Every second we waste talking is another second my son is with that psychopath." I pulled out my notebook, flipping to a clean page. "When did you last see Jason Hale?" "Six weeks ago. Courthouse. Restraining order hearing." Winter's answers came clipped and efficient. "He threatened Veronica in the parking lot afterwards. Said he would take everything from her. I should have killed him then."

He chuckles deeply causing my heart to clench, uncomfortably. My father is dead in front of me, a bullet wound to his head and here I am, laughing with a strange, 7-foot man who shouldn't be in my house. "Well baby, I'm death, nice to meet you," I know it was dumb, but I broke into laughter. "Yeah, and I'm Demeter now get out before I call the cops," I glance back over at my father as he lies in a pool of his blood.

he asked her and she nodded. "you? Mitchell?" "I'm good. She was mumbling to herself when I left, but at least she isn't going to harm herself, so that should be good enough for now." Jason said and I nodded. "alright. Jason, now that you're here, the trio is complete and we can actually plan for the apocalypse." "So there is an apocalypse?" Jason asked, and turned to Kylie, who shrugged. "I had a vision. He raised the dead from the village of ashes. They are his own revenant warriors. It's crazy."

But she couldn’t afford to not be at this small party. Megumi already suspected her. “So what now?” Takashi asked. “You get a move on” she hissed.

It was mirthless, calculating, and cold. “It’s not that easy, Pierce! I’ll bring your reality before your precious Hayley and her father. They’ll know that you work for the mafia don, Salvatore Gambino. You’ll be behind bars before you can even think of harming me,” gritted out Jason, his patience breaking down slowly.

Jason winked and pointed at someone enjoying his main course at the far left, not far from where we were standing. I looked at the man wide-eyed, and my jaw tightened. Jason seemed to enjoy looking at me, lost in anger at what he had done. He must have done this intentionally, even though I didn't know the main reason for doing so. The man who was sucking human blood dry was Kay Lee. Yes, that man, who had destroyed my Ivanna to the point of wanting to end her life, although I didn't know for sure if that was the case, but that was what I had heard from Brianna.
