Rayden asked, eyes locked on the map. “Worse,” Orion muttered. “The elite sentinels there are zealots, Valerius’s personal disciples. Fanatics. They don’t serve the clan, they serve him. You can’t bribe them, you can’t threaten them. They’d rather die than betray their master.” Rayden absorbed the words silently. The path ahead was nearly impossible. The grove echoed with the boom of its voice. “Who dares trespass upon sacred ground?” Lena stepped forward, her heart pounding. “We come seeking the fountain’s waters. The Heartwood is dying, and we need its light to heal it.” The Sentinel’s gaze bore into her, unyielding. “The fountain’s waters are not for mortals to take. They are bound by ancient law, reserved only for those who prove themselves worthy.”

He was the ghost in the machine, and the machine was now the size of a continent. A door hissed open, and a figure entered. It was a Sentinel 3.0, a terrifying fusion of human bone and Aether-tech carbon. It didn't have a face, only a vertical slit of violet light that acted as a multi-spectral sensor. It didn't carry a gun; its entire right forearm was a sonic lance, capable of liquefying a werewolf’s internal organs with a single burst. "The 'Chosen One' has left the mountains," the Sentinel reported, its voice a synthesized drone. "The Prism is stable. The 'Anomalous Chord' is being modulated by a creative frequency."

His fingers twitched slightly at his sides, the only betrayal of the storm building within him. “Subject: Deceased. Adrium: Not detected.” The lead drone emitted a short, shrill beep, and the others responded with a synchronized retreat, lifting upward like vultures denied a feast. In seconds, they were gone, vanishing into the smog above the ruins. Tunde exhaled slowly. His eyes flicked to the crate. The shard glowed faintly in the shadows like a heart still beating.

"Luke, Sebastian, form a wedge! Protect the Queen!" Jackson led the charge. He became a whirlwind of violence, shooting joints, using a combat knife to pry open armor plating, creating a path through the monsters. "Clear!" Jackson shouted. Serenity sprinted towards the central control pillar. It was a massive crystal spire, pulsing with the corrupt purple energy of the Order. Elder Sol realized what she was doing. "Stop her! She will destabilize the grid!" The Sentinels turned, ignoring Jackson, and lunged at Serenity.

My father, armed with nothing but a wrench, stepped between the Sentinel and the mass driver. "Dad, no!" I screamed, unable to take my hands off the deck. The Sentinel lunged. ONE SECOND. Dax materialized out of the chaos. He threw his phased combat knife like a throwing star. The blade buried itself in the back of the Sentinel's head a microsecond before it touched my father. The entity shattered into black dust, washing over Chen Wei harmlessly. "VELOCITY REACHED!" my father roared, dropping the wrench. Above us, the black deletion beam of the Nullity command ship fired. It descended from the sky like a spear of absolute nothingness, erasing the clouds, the smoke, and the air itself.

Ruby scoffed. “ We all thought he was dead long ago but surprisingly, he is alive and is controlled by the Sentinels so…end of story” Jade added. Polaris glared at Matteo who she was still holding at gunpoint before turning to Eclipse. “ See Leriel, they’re here to help us” She pointed out to him. “ But I’m sure they have some sort of ulterior motive behind it” Eclipse refused. “ There are no ulterior motive Leriel, they are mutants like us” Polaris groaned but Eclipse wasn’t yet convinced.

It was as if they were going to their deaths. She walked up to Avalors who was beside her and then dragged him away. They talked with each other for a while and then she wrapped her hand around him and then kissed him. The elderly man walked towards him with blushes on his cheek. “Now I have to survive,” he said with a smile and Richard almost vomited. “Just stop… stop that,” he said and the elderly man chuckled. The Sentinels had already been briefed about the mission, so there isn't much to talk about now and they were all ready. Richard activated his abilities and dragged all the twenty five of them with him. They appeared somewhere within the sacred forest.
