It was a young woman and an old one, and she immediately knew who they were, right before Summer and Spring shouted in happiness and ran to them. Duke smiled but remained beside Ruby. When the greetings were over, she walked with Duke to them to greet Cameron’s sister and grandmother, introducing herself. "My name is Ruby Miller. I'm the nanny.” She said. "You too, Sarah.” She said, walking to the grandmother to introduce herself as well. "Mrs. MacMillan. It's nice to meet you.” She said.

I asked, looking around. “You didn't come with your phone yesterday, mistress," Jane replied. “And please, call me Jane, not Ma'am." “Please call me Jade, not Mistress," I said. Realization dawned on me that Ruby held my phone and my clutch purse yesterday. In the chaos that went down, I didn't remember to get my phone from her. Shit! I had no way of contacting anyone again.
