WE ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HILL

WE ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE HILL

Aubrey looked at me wanting to ask who this person was, but I didn't really know who she was, so I could only reply with a smile of goodwill. “I know you came here to inquire about Ancanta's death, so I have been here waiting for your arrival. Call me Jane. Follow me, let's go into the library that year." Although I knew that Aubrey and I were very confused, the nun Jane continued to walk, I felt a little strange but also hurried to follow in her footsteps. Mrs. Jane went to the library and entered, as fast as the wind, I did not see her. If it weren't for her to be an eighty-year-old woman, no one would have believed that at that age she could be so healthy.

Daisy Hunter

Daisy Hunter

Opening the door, Christiana stood in front of her. "I forgot my handbag and umbrella at your house." "So sorry for the inconvenience." Her voice was laced with remorse. Staring at her, Daisy Hunter said," What, No, it's really okay…I too forget my stuff in people's homes." Daisy Hunter said, smiling gleefully, exposing her perfect dentition. Stepping into the dimly lit room, Christiana spotted her handbag and umbrella, grabbing it, she thanked Daisy and stepped out immediately.

The Awakening

The Awakening

The silver thread glimmered like a dying star between my fingers as I pulled the final stitch. I had spent weeks carving a masterpiece out of a mess, breathing life into a gown that was little more than a hand-me-down from Nora, the chief maid. It was a relic of the royal palace, salvaged from the scrap heap of a life I was never meant to lead.

Defy Me If You Can

Defy Me If You Can

Still, knowing she would need every bit of strength to get through another day inside the manor, Jane quietly lifted the bowl toward her lips, letting out a small sigh before forcing herself to drink the remaining soup. Just then, a shadow stretched across the table, gradually covering both her bowl and her hands. Although she should have been curious about who had stopped before her, the truth was that the moment her eyes caught sight of the elaborate hairstyle puffed high upon the woman's head like a mountain proudly demanding attention, she no longer needed to guess. There was only one person inside the manor arrogant enough to wear her hair like that. And it was none other than Annie. Ja

Penelope

Penelope

She looked up from her screen as she heard me approach, it must have been the noise of my shoes as the lobby was mostly quietness. "Mr Knight — what um, can I do for you?"She smiled, but it was obvious that she was nervous. I seem to have that effect on women. "Im looking for Jamie. Is she around?"I asked. "She's working the anniversary party tonight. I'll give her a call and see if I can get her down for you, one second."She picked up the phone and dialled her number, while I waited impatiently."I'm sorry, Mr Knight, she's not picking up, I'm sure she's busy up there. I'll keep trying her."

When you have to wait for long periods of time to read 1 short chapter it takes away from the enjoyment of reading the book. By the time a new chapter comes out, I have forgotten the other short chapters.

If Jamie is killed off in this storyline then what's the point. She's the fantastic female character that you want to know what going to happen between her & Mason. She's been through enough, now this tragic scenario ... happens. Come on now give her a HAPPY ENDING.

The Reluctant Queen

The Reluctant Queen

“Hmm, I think it was by something Sharpsbury.” “Oh Adriata Sharpsbury. She’s wonderful. Very prolific. We only carry her “Frostgarden” collection but I have a pretty good relationship with her publisher, if you’re interested in her other works.” “Don’t you also carry that new book? That purist one?” Eclipse’s mate interrupted. “What’s the author’s name? Crayton, Crishton-” “Crichton,” Janessa supplied. “Crichton, that’s it. I’m surprised that you would carry such drivel,” he said snidely. Eclipse’s eyes darted to Trick, knowing her mate was stepping on to thin ice.

“Thank you, Mrs-“ I felt his hand gently settle on my waist making my heartbeat increase. Meeting his gaze, I saw the same disappointment mirrored in his eyes as he surveyed the empty barn. “Oh just Ms. I am Jane LaFontaine.” She says as she smiles, her cheeks turning red. "It's not exactly what we had in mind, is it?" he remarked, his tone tinged with regret as he whispers it my ear. I shook my head in agreement. "I was hoping for something a bit more... romantic I guess," I confessed softly, voicing my concerns. I had always dreamed of a fairy-tale wedding, surrounded by lush gardens and twinkling lights—not a rundown barn in the middle of nowhere.

she grumbled. Vanessa exchanged glances with me and we burst into laughter while Brooke grumbled some more. "Sorry Brooke. It's not my fault they look nice," I said between laughs. "Well, Brooke isn't completely wrong," Vanny put in. I raised an eyebrow in question. "Let me explain," Brooke said. "Unfortunately, I can't remember the names of the security guy, the gardener and the cleaner but they both look good though the gateman looks like he could have a family. Your cook, what did you say her name is again? Your cook is very lovely. In fact, she's beautiful and also looks like a married woman. If her husband is as fine as she is, then her children must be drop dead gorgeous."

The League of Rogues

The League of Rogues

The Russell family estate in northern Kent, four miles east of the village of Hexby, was in an uproar. Jane, the Marchioness of Rochester, was on the verge of strangling her second youngest child, one Linus Winston Russell. Despite her own knowledge that she had birthed that troublesome boy twenty-one years before, sometimes she swore he hadn't matured past the age of eight.
