Although I knew that Aubrey and I were very confused, the nun Jane continued to walk, I felt a little strange but also hurried to follow in her footsteps. If it weren't for her to be an eighty-year-old woman, no one would have believed that at that age she could be so healthy.

E A smile lit up my face as I tugged off the red ribbon and opened the gift paper to reveal a beautiful hardcover of one of my favorite authors, Jane Austen. It was The Complete Novels of Jane Austen in lilac purple leather-bound hardcover. The book was heavy, but I was in utter awe at its beauty and the intricate design on the front cover. I loved it. I adored it, and I knew if I could, I would keep this edition on a pedestal.

It's been three days since she started delaying the inevitable event of being stuck with Dom in Canterbury. After minutes of pondering, she stood up and reached the small shelf of books she has. Her eyes locked on two books, Jane Eyre by Emily Bronte and Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. She had just finished reading Persuasion, and she was still on the assessment of her feelings towards the ending of the story. Maybe another book can take her mind off things. She decided on Great Expectations, gladly picking up the book and bouncing back to her bed, to enjoy another pleasurable surmount of reading a book.

I'm just taking the opportunity to shake things up a bit. Or rather take the good fortune and coincidence scattered throughout the work and cranking it up a notch or three. Chapter 1

Opening the door, Christiana stood in front of her. "I forgot my handbag and umbrella at your house." "So sorry for the inconvenience." Her voice was laced with remorse. Staring at her, Daisy Hunter said," What, No, it's really okay…I too forget my stuff in people's homes." Daisy Hunter said, smiling gleefully, exposing her perfect dentition. Stepping into the dimly lit room, Christiana spotted her handbag and umbrella, grabbing it, she thanked Daisy and stepped out immediately.

She is not an unattractive woman; she just looks harsh, her hair dyed peroxide blonde (she is supposed to be a brunette but the dyeing has been done so well that an observer would never know for sure) and the dark suit she wears – not like the kind that David and his two visitors wear but that power suit that wouldn’t have looked out of place in the bitch role in a television show. As usual, she is still sifting through documents at her desk just after half past one in the morning. Sometimes the offices of Orson Industries seem busier at this time of night than during the day. She smiles humourlessly at this thought. When you have been in this job for long enough, you really don’t want to

She looked up from her screen as she heard me approach, it must have been the noise of my shoes as the lobby was mostly quietness. "Mr Knight — what um, can I do for you?"She smiled, but it was obvious that she was nervous. I seem to have that effect on women. "Im looking for Jamie. Is she around?"I asked. "She's working the anniversary party tonight. I'll give her a call and see if I can get her down for you, one second."She picked up the phone and dialled her number, while I waited impatiently."I'm sorry, Mr Knight, she's not picking up, I'm sure she's busy up there.
