"Hey b*tch, you started smiling, you’re gonna fall in love," she teased, making me frown instantly. I wasn’t even smiling. "I’m not smiling, you’re just hallucinating," I told Jenifer. "Psh, you’re so in denial even though I saw it," she insisted.

My trance of thoughts were broken by the buzzing of my phone, looking at my desk I saw the caller id that flashed on screen and my lips didn’t fail to pull a wide smile instantly. Picking the call within seconds I said “ hellow, wifey….” i jeered with all teeths. “ Aahan, I can sense someone's smiling too much Now-a-days ” Said Jenny, twirling the ends of her hairs as her lips touched the sim of a coffee mug. “ if you had a wife like you….you’ll understand why i’m smiling too much “ and now i can sense her blushing over the phone. “ Shut up, that doesn’t even makes any sense “ she tried to hide the fact that she was impressed with how i can always make her blush with my words.

She looked so cheerful in those pictures and the smiles on her face in each picture were nothing like the smiles that she gave us now. I couldn't help but smile to myself as I started at all them one after the other and Rita whose curiosity I could feel, hopped onto the couch I sat on to join me and look at the pictures together to see why they were making me smile and she couldn't help it too when she saw how cheerful Jenny once was, I looked over at her and she was smiling from ear to ear too. The smiles that Jenny had on her face in the pictures looked more sincere and her eyes smiled too, she had wrinkles at the corner of her eyes to show how happy she was and she even looked very happy

Jenny, my neighbor asked as she walked up the staircase a few seconds later, curious about my goofy smile. “Yeah, I’m fantastic!” I responded enthusiastically as I moved away from my door to let her into my apartment. “Does this weird smiling Joshua I have never seen before have to do with Olivia who I just passed on the staircase?” she asked sarcastically as she opened up her medical bag on my counter. My shoulders shrugged casually. “Maybe…”. “Who is she to you anyway?” Jenny asked as she gently knocked my head with a bundle of cotton gauze, trying to knock me out of my daze.

She straightened up, eyes sparkling like she'd just uncovered front-page news. "No. He didn't. Saben Thompson? Mr. Emotionally Constipated himself? Gave you a straight-up, humility-spiced, borderline flirtatious P.S.?" Jenny groaned and put her hands over her face. "Don't even start. I'm still trying to decide whether to laugh, cry, or clear my whole inbox." Zina put the cookie on a napkin. "Oh, honey. You just have to get it framed." Jenny glared at her behind her fingers.

Jason smiled there. Jason: Well, same here. Let's just talk first? Jenny: Isn't that what the two of us already doing now? That’s what she answered him so he smiled. Jason: You know you weren't snobbish before but now you're like that. He joked here and then put a laughing emoji at the end of the sentence. Jenny: Everything can change, especially when you're hurt. You hurt me! At the end of Jenny's message, there was also a laughing emoji but despite that, Jason still couldn't help but feel guilty and be affected by what the young lady said.

I blurted out after everything she said to me. I bit my lower lip when her head raised to me. She smiled at what I said. I also didn't know that things would not be as easy. I just want to change the atmosphere and I guess I did. Seeing Jenny smiling made me happy, too. Not for me but for her.

Jenny knocked on the door patiently. Although, her face looked sad, her insides were dancing for joy. She was finally going to have a hold over Jayden, even if it would be for a short period of time. She would finally get what she wanted. She forced herself to continue looking somber as the door was thrown open and Jayden's face appeared. "Hey," she muttered. "Jenny! You didn't tell me you were coming today!" Jayden said, his eyes wide in surprise.
