I stood in the middle of the living room, facing the security camera's blinking red light, practicing my smile again and again. Looking into the lens, I spoke softly, like I was leaving a message for the Mom who'd watch it someday. "Mom, look. I practiced the perfect smile again today. "Lift the corners of my mouth fifteen degrees and show eight teeth. The books say that's the most sincere smile. The one that makes people feel warm. "I've practiced so much my face hurts... but that's okay. "When you watch this tomorrow... will you tell me I did a good job? "Will you finally believe I wasn't lying to you?"

My trance of thoughts were broken by the buzzing of my phone, looking at my desk I saw the caller id that flashed on screen and my lips didn’t fail to pull a wide smile instantly. Picking the call within seconds I said “ hellow, wifey….” i jeered with all teeths. “ Aahan, I can sense someone's smiling too much Now-a-days ” Said Jenny, twirling the ends of her hairs as her lips touched the sim of a coffee mug. “ if you had a wife like you….you’ll understand why i’m smiling too much “ and now i can sense her blushing over the phone. “ Shut up, that doesn’t even makes any sense “ she tried to hide the fact that she was impressed with how i can always make her blush with my words.

Cynthia’s POV “Jenny, I didn’t do it on purpose. You’re so kind and generous, you’ll forgive me, right?” I tried her best to imitate Jenny’s usual expression and tone of voice. Jenny was disgusted by me, but she couldn’t ruin her image in front of so many people, so she could only squeeze out a smirk and nod her head. “You are so nice.” I said with a smile, “Come here, Jenny, let me see your face. I really feel guilty. Look at your beautiful face, it’s so swollen.”

Layla froze. She turned and her breath caught. Jenny stood before her, smiling. For a split second, Layla was too stunned to speak. Jenny, now in her fifties, wore the years on her face. There were lines from a life fully lived but she carried them with grace. The world had left its mark, but there was no weariness in her eyes, only a brilliance that shone with experience and wisdom. Her smile was open, bright, and full of life.

They laugh together. He is happy making him smile but Henry suddenly stops laughing and takes his hand in his grip.

Jenny hasn't seen or spoken to Tommy or Tim in a long time, and as a result, she's developed a bit of a sentimental attachment to them. I gently took her hand, trying to stay calm. “What are you doing?” I asked firmly. “Still getting changed,” she smiled, and kept going. I was starting to lose my cool. “Jay,” Paul said, ”if she wants to change, let her.” His tone was serious. “I agree,” Aaron grinned. Jenny pulled off her jeans, revealing a pair of shorts underneath. “Jay,” she smiled at me, ”I don’t think this is your call—but whatever.” She laughed and, with one smooth motion, pulled off her shirt to reveal her swimsuit. The guys burst out laughing.

I did the same thing. She shook the hair spray in her hang vigorously, then used one hand to cover my face while she sprayed my hair with the other. “Am I good to go?” I asked. “Almost perfect. Now smile.” Jenny moved back. I exhaled deeply, then put on a smile. When last have I done that? Smile genuinely? It’s been a while. “Perfect, go get’ em girl.” Jenny smacked my buttocks playfully as I grabbed my bag and scurried out of the house.
